I love Superman-Prime like a second brother.

This is why I switched to reading DC.

They still have villains. :)

So is Superboy Prime all grows up?

I was wondering about that myself. He looks a lot older. And to nitpick, I think the S he carved into his chest is supposed to have the diamond around it.

SMP should punch continuity so hard that it fixes Marvel Comics.

So, if a fanboy ever got sucked into a comic book, they'd go nuts?

Sounds like an accusation. Someone should do something. :D

I don't know how they will explain the aging, but I'm pretty sure the name change had a little to do with the whole "Superboy" lawsuit.

just read da interview with Geoff Johns on newsarama. I feel like I'm missing out on some serious GL kick-assery. Maybe I will get around to snatching up all the trades an singles.

I'm pretty sure it has everything to do with the whole "Superboy" lawsuit.
They could have started calling him that way back in Infinite Crisis after he returned wearing the Anti-Monitor's armor. He aged along Bart Allen.

They can just say he only carved the actual "S" and used the excess blood to just draw the shield around it. :whistlin:

While I love Green Lantern right now and the current story arc is amazing, can that cover look any more gay?

(should still be a cool story...)

So he's going to have to start continuity-punching himself?

It could actually be the real Superman joining the ranks.

Geoff Johns interview including what he say about the name change.

http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=130914

NRAMA: The “Superman Prime” name as opposed to being “Superboy” Prime?

GJ: Yeah. Obviously, there are legal things going on, but really this is a rites of passage issue. There’s a reason “boy” becomes “man” – Prime looks at another boy who became a man who didn’t fair as well.

Apparently I'm a little behind on my behind-the-scenes DC news. Someone want to cue me in on this lawsuit? What's that about?
