Goddamn, but Vertigo is kicking some ass lately.

Jason Aaron's Scalped is just awesome.

Vaughn's Y:The Last Man continues to astound me.

Willingham's Fables is still solid month after month.

Now Andy Diggle's writing Hellblazer?

Is this the next Vertigo renaissance (sp)? Because, honestly, reading the first issue of Scalped made me feel the same way I did when I read the first issue of Preacher.

And their backlist is incredible. From Preacher to Transmetropolitan to The Losers, it seems that just about everything that comes out of this imprint is solid gold.

What do you think?

I'm really loooking forward to Sentences, and a few other vertigo titles.

Did it come out already? I'll have to get it when I can. It wasnt at the book store, or rather I didn't see it at the book store, last time i was there.

Agree with you there. Easily one of my favorite series right now.

Lost touch with this after the third volume of the series but plan to get back into it.

Is this the next Vertigo renaissance (sp)? Because, honestly, reading the first issue of Scalped made me feel the same way I did when I read the first issue of Preacher.

I think it's one more BIG (as in a potential to be a critical/media darling, etc) title away but ... yeah. I think years from now people may look at this point of Vertigo history as the beginning of something major.

And their backlist is incredible. From Preacher to Transmetropolitan to The Losers, it seems that just about everything that comes out of this imprint is solid gold.
