The Eunuch.
Whatever it wants to be called, I imagine.
It's a grenade launcher. It looks a bit like the US Army's M79, but I'm not sure if that's actually what it is.

It looks like an older style flare pistol.
Ooh, hadn't thought of that. Flare gun is a definite possibility, but I've never seen one with a stock on it like that; they usually have a pistol grip.

It is a Grenade launcher . It functions like a grenade launcher but these type aren't very accurate and are usually used for things like smoke grenades or bean bag rounds

It's just plain "M79"
Also referred to in slang as a thumper, blooper or a thump or bloop gun.
It is capable of firing an assortment of 40 mm rounds, including explosive, anti-personnel, smoke, buckshot, flechette, and illumination shells.

That's what was confusing me- I'd never heard of a sawed-off grenade launcher. Doesn't seem like the sort of weapon you'd need to conceal under your coat, but what do I know?

Soldiers used to cut them down to make them even more portable and shed some extra unwanted weight off the unit.
it's an antique! No one uses them anymore.! BAH!
C. Wallace- thanks for clearing that up!
Dano- I think the M203 grenade launcher that the US army currently uses is the same as the M79, just modified to attach to a soldier's carbine.
same idea, different tool.
loads differently, looks different, stuck on the bottom of a rifle!
It's not a duck!

He never gets mad either, or talks about loved ones.
