Wow, a new Youngblood #1. Didn't Alan Moore prove that Youngblood could be awesome as long as Rob Liefeld doesn't write or draw it and they don't use any of Rob's characters?

Congrats to Val on getting the coloring gig. That Derek Donovan image is um... well, let's just say thank God for the coloring...

You know...

I admit it... The more I read about this... the more Im curious about it.

I loved joe Casey's story in Wildcats 3.0 and I dig a lot of his other work as well. I also remember the same old interviews, one in Comic Scene for sure, where Rob was talking about all the things he wanted to put in Youngblood he never managed to write in there.

With Joe gutting the entire original series, re-working pages, re-writing the whole story, and adding new material, there's a nostalgic part of me that wouldn't mind seeing how it all turns out.

I'll buy the first issue. This isn't Youngblood. Most of the characters look like they should be on an Avengers type team.

Im more interested in the collection of the original series that Joe tore apart and re-wrote from the ground up. If that knocks my sock off I may try the new series.

Well to be fair the originals look like they belonged on an X-men team. Oh wait thats right.
