Hey Everybody,
this is some of the new stuff im working on, since the wolverine script I worked on was really annoying, I thought it wouldbe better to work on something I enjoy.
Hope you all like it.
Advice and C&C is pretty welcome,
Sedat

hey sedat,
coole sachen, du hast wirklich was drauf!

Alles Gute,
Sedat

You robotic work is exceptional...kinda reminds me of The Iron Giant...But oddly enough I would have liked to have seen the completed page 2...more so than the action or group shot..Still, really good work though. Jim

Hey Guys,
man I was thinking that this post got lost under all the other posts Ive seen recently here (there was a lot of awesome stuff).
@Peter,
Arne told me, that he liked page 2, but he thinks page 8 is a little bit confusing because WW and Superman seem to be drawn more realistic than Batman and Martian Manhunter and I told him that I tried to add not too much details to the characters in the foreground to have the viewers attention not only on them... and leting the other characters disappear.
Thanks for the nice words :)
@Jgiar,
thanks Im glad you like the robot. although I dont have the finished version of page 2 uploaded yet, I thought I could upload the finished version of the prelim. I think I will upload all pages at all when thyre finished. Sadly I have to work on a graphik novel (esque thing) at the moment too (for school). That means two projects, and both are very important...its kind of hard. Hope youll enjoy and thanks for the nice words.

Some awesome stuff. reminds me a little bit of Lienil Yu.
The only things I think could be better are supermans face on the splash page and batmans pose same page. They both look a little rushed.
Also, have you thought about maybe using non-repro blue pencil for your perspective and roughing in? I would help to produce cleaner pencils (but the waxier pencils can effect your inks).

Hey Jimmy,
thanks man! Leinil is one of my favourite artists, along with Travis Charerst, jim Lee, Adam Hughes and many more. Im still not sure if Ill use the splash page or not since its the last page and hasnt that much importance for the story.
I actually use non repro blue, the scan just makes em gray. some long time ago, I used them on the finished pages, but sometimes when everything goes bad it happens that I scrw a good page becuase of one bad panel or so. thats why I prefer drawing it on a scrap page and the light box it. all in all I usually finish a page that way in 10hrs (penciling and tracing). I really prefer that, although I have to say that the finished pages sometimes lose a little bit of their dynamic.
thanks for the nice words again :)

hey guys,
thanks for the nice words everybody. Ive been drawing some new stuff, which will be up later today.
@thejudge2000,
thanks for the nice words. I didnt write the script, a friend of mine wrote it for me. he is very talented.
@splash,
thanks Im glad you enjoy these :)
@Fletch,
thanks alot. Ive tried to give the robot some of that retro look
@hlbimages,
thanks, these are going to stay pencils only, because theyre supposed to be sample pages for SDCC, but anyone who wants to ink someting is welcome :D
@xombey,
thanks for the nice words. Im visiting the university of applied science of Design in Münster, Germany. Its actually more a school for designer, though we have an illustartion class but its not like in the states where you learn a lot. Most of the stuff you see up here is selftaught. We actually get feedback from our teacher and thats about it ;)
All the best,
Sedat

People keep asking for the script, so I posted it over in the Writers Forum. It's called "JLA: Mechancial Mayhem" Or just click HERE (http://www.digitalwebbing.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1213879#post1213879) for the link.

Those are very strong pages.
I would buy artwork like this!
Love the robots and the superman pose.

strong work. One critique for you. In page 2 bottom panel. The robot's arm is extremely close to the panel border. It almost looks like the robot is trying to avoid hitting it. you might just want to make some of the arm going off panel. otherwise everything else looks really great.

Sedat...stopped by your blog. It's an impressive body of work. And you draw one of the most grittiest versions of Batman I've seen in a long time. You can have your overrendered Jim Lee Batman look. Yours kicks serious ass. Nice work ,man.

long time no see...
Ive been actually working hard within the last few days, but sadly also had some reallife issues that I had to get rid off. However, I havent been working on the script during the last days, because I had to work on a schoolproject (which Ill upload soon too).
@Tristan,
thanks :D
@Dano, glad you like it
@Thall838, thanks for the nice words
@Jeff, thanks a lot Im glad that you enjoy these, Im not sure if theyre on a pro level, but I think Ill find out at SDCC :)
@Seavans, Im glad you enjoyed these so much. Ive actually never done any commissions yet, but in case you should be interested, then let me know. I guess Ill need some money after SDCC.
@Peruzzo, your crit is true. WHen I drew the Robot I kind of misplaced him. But as you can see below in the finishd version I got rid of that layout problem in there. Thank you for your kind words :)
@J giar, first of all thanks for checking my blog! I really appricciate every visitor and every person to post a comment (it means a lot to me!). Im glad to hear that you like the way I draw Batman...I find it very hard to draw him, because hes such an Iconic Character who has been recreated so often, by so many talented people, that it can be very hard to make him outstanding :)
Heres the finished version of page 2
http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1102/566654545_d9cb87fb42_o.jpg
As soon as the semester is over Ill be able to commit myself 100% to these pages again and pump some good artwork out...hopefully :D

Are you working for the Big Two? Freakin' Amazing! Only problem i see is that the size of the Robots changes on one page he/she/it is about four people tall and about two wide. So for the splash Batman is either very tiny or the robots got a lot bigger.

Really nice work. You really lay down texture and space well. My only crit would be on your splash page. You might want to consider slightly thickening the oulines on Superman and Wonder Woman to bring them forward in space a little more.

First off, let me say that your work is simply amazing. If you're not working as a profession artist in this field, you should be. I do have one question/comment about the last panel though. Are the drawings of all three people running away from the robot the same person? If so, you may want to have the first two lighted up a bit to give the illusion of motion. Just a suggestion. Looking forward to seeing more. :happy:

hey everybody,
sorry for the late reply Ive been working on some illustrated stuff, that Ill upload soon.
@Justice,thank you, glad you like the tight rendered stuff as much as the prelim. Im usually afraid that during the tracing level all the power gets lost.
@Ravencore, thaaannnk-youuuu :D Im glad you find em inspirational
@Multisync143,thanks for the nice words. Sadly Im not working for any publisher. the size is changing because the script says that on page 7 bigger and different robots invade Metropolis. i didnt want to do any new designs so I just came up with a bigger version of the first robot.
@Splash, thank you, glad you like em:)
@the stranger, thank you man. I agree on the thicker outlines I iwll give them another shot ;)
@Kunslier, thank you for your very kind words. Yes its supposed to be Jimmy olsen in the last panel running away (he looks a lot like me with blonde hair :D) I actually didnt know how to create the illusion of him running in multible-motion so I thought this would be the best way to show it.
@Arne.S, danke danke :)
@Tristan, danke danke :D
@Radiophonicus, thanks I will send you a high resolution scan asap, ok?
but please let me know as soon as you have it inked id love to see it.

is flash really strong enough to rip a giant robots arm off?
Multisync143

I don't think he could carry the robot arm either. Just change him into superman. :)

maybe thats superman wearing the flash's costume because his is at the cleaners.

woooow, this 2nd panel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
blos die pespektive der häuser im ersten panel stimmt nicht ganz, jedenfals ein anderer winkel als im zweiten panel (die rechte seite, die nach hinten wegfluchtet)
aber das zweite panel ist großartig!

@all,
thanks for the feedback :)
@the dag,
just think of a bullet thats being fired from a gun. a bullet is really small, but the speed with which it is being fired up makes it deadly. Now think of something that has the size of a man and is even 5 times faster than a bullet...if that colliedes with something it surely would crash it. and then again its just a comic, those are guys wearing masks and wearing spandex :)
@Multisync143,
if youll read the script which has been posted in this thread too, youll understand the joke behind the whole thing ;)
@Ravecores,
:D thanks, Im glad you enjoy the page
@jgmcomics,
thank you man :)
@Arne,
hast recht ich werde dan Hintergrund im Panel nochmal zeichnen und neu einfügen. Danke freut mich sehr dass es dir gefällt:)
