Can't wait to hit the convention circuit again this year... and Wizard World sure knows how to make them lotsa fun from start to finish.

And speaking of fun, this image was a total blast. Decided to kick it old-school with the stars on her Cap and Gown... just like they did, back in the day.

--thanks for looking. :)

awsome franchesco!
Thanks Jim Boyle --I appreciate the compliment, and getting the thread off to such a great start.
I updated the first image so it is not as vague... not that I wanted it to be vague in the first place... but to be specific, not that I wanted to be overly specific... but it's not as if I wanted to be evasive, not that I am evasive by nature... and speaking of nature-- gotta love Spring, all the birds and all the trees, and how about a shout-out for all the flora and the fauna ...
what the hell???

Yikes, I'm rambling more than usual-- on purpose... not that I wanted to do it on purpose when I first logged on, but then again :::stop it!:::
where was I?

Oh yeah, :)

Wizard asked me to participate in their Wizard School program they make available to any comicon attendee interested in free money and free beer next month. But that is only for my class only... so, yeah, all the free beer* and free money* you can carry for attending the Franchesco! Class. *while supplies last.

But seriously folks... all kidding aside, I will be having a blast with all the ususpecting folks in attendance at WWPhilly on Friday--
and WWChicago as well-- Yay, Comic Art Talk!

Thanks again for the kind words. You all flatter me with the fun-fun feedback.

[I]Fluck!! I haven't been on here for a good while, and already I see some freakin' people improving on their art. And the better the artist, the more competition that I have within myself to be better than what I am right now, not to say that I'm a bad artist.......not by a long shot!!

But Fresco my man, your art is truly a work of wonder. Great piece.

Hello COMIX JUNKY-- it is so nice to see you say such nice stuff. I like the way you think, thanks... drawing Wonder Woman would be all kindsa fun, and Black Cat? yep... all kindsa fun-- I would almost feel guilty getting paid to draw that stuff... ALMOST

Well yeah, I would still cash the checks... (homeboy gots to eat) but you and I can both agree that the act of drawing that suff twould be the true reward, and totally fulfilling on so many levels. So, yup-- you get my vote for more drawing of more stuff --and if it happens to be one of those two at the Big Two --well that sure beats a poke in the eye with a sharp stick!

:)

Question: When would I draw something for Marvel or DC or Image? Answer: Anytime-- morning noon and night. I am happy drawing whatever is on my drawing board at any given time, but would be all kinds of cool to draw up those scary good icons those companies have to offer. And sure --why not, the more the merrier-- heck, let's all go get us some, Joel.

I hear you KONG... I was tempted to just post the final colored version... but the subject matter seemed to lend itself to the "before & after" glimpse at what goes into creating an image for comic books a little bit.

I gotta keep reminding myself not to assume that someone in the room will know anything at all about comic books, or how they are created. I don't want to short change anyone, by thinking they already know --what most of us who have been around the block or two take for granted today. I would not be a very good instructor if the one person who needs the class the most, is going to be left out in the cold.

Thanks for reminding me to not let anyone fall through the cracks. There was a day that I didn't know about pencilers and inkers and letterers and all that jazz... so back to the basics I go.

Who knew School could be THIS much fun? :)

Thanks for the compliment --you are much too kind KONG

San Diego was sooooo ah-freakin-mazing last year... trying to top that this summer would've been impossible. Since it would've been downhill from there, I'm sitting it out this year. Thanks for the props on the Pics... I hope to see you there next year HOBBES... and no worries, I won't say anything to the missus if you don't... what goes on is San Diego stays in San Diego. Flocking booth babes need love too ya know.

~Nu Jin (Bruce).
LOL

Is it just me, or is here a lotta flucking going on in this thread now? ...make that flocking. Thanks to you people, folks may actually start to flock around in the hopes to get a glimpse at one of the many boothbabes at my table in Artist Alley. Rest assured that if the babe happens to be out of sight at the time, there are always paper dolls in the pages of the closest comic book. All kidding aside, I don't actually have a booth babe... but I am lucky enough to have some of the best looking people at the show stop by the table. So thanks for the beautiful people for making the day a better one. Hey, beautiful people need love too.

Not sure how this particular rant of mine started, but one thing I am sure about is that its good to have a member who strayed from the flock come back to the Digital Webbing fold. Hah... see how I cleverly worked in the word flock again.. hah... I crack me up. Okay not so clever, but its not like I ever claimed to be a writer in the first place. I can barely call myself an artist... but anyways... where was I? Good to see you're back again Shin Jinlaw ...thanks for the kind words on the drawing... I really appreciate the compliment.

Welcome back to digital webbing Nu Jin... hope you survive the experience. And hells yeah... great to see someone like you who is confident in their abilities, and still be humble enough to know there is always room for improvement, and aware that learing is a life-long process. It's a great attitude to have Bruce.

Thanks for the shout-out :)

Thank you SEVANS I like that you like the way I draw the ladies... now all you have to do is get hired by Marvel and DC as an editor, then give me a job drawing pretty girls all day long for lots and lots of money. It's not much to ask for, now is it?
