Thought I'd give it a try here, too. Anyone have a link or something to make this cover look more worn, like the UPC bar?

Hey Mike. There's a tutorial here (http://www.jonnycrossbones.com/process/index.htm)

Nice tutorial there. On page 7, where he whacks the yellow layer on top to fade the pic, I prefer to use something with a bit of texture; say, an image like this:
Set its layer to 'Hard Light', maybe yellow it a bit like the layer in the tutorial, then crank the opacity down and you've got a nice, slightly scuffed texture which helps with the effect. (although admittedly, neither my version or the tutorial's works very well with your 'Construct' image, 'cos it's already very yellow, and quite vivid. You might wanna bring the saturation down, if you're making an 'old cover' version).
If you want to make a bit of a torn edge, or build your own creases 'cos you don't have a scannable cover handy like the one in the tutorial, Steps 1-4 of this (http://www.photoshopcafe.com/tutorials/lightning/lightning.htm) Photoshop lightning tutorial shows a good way to get that 'wandering' shape a torn edge has (use a narrower gradient to create a straighter edge than the one in this tut). Just create the tear anywhere, and then use Free Transform to manipulate it into place, maybe making it a Screen layer or messing around with channels to eliminate the black part.
