I was thinking up ideas of my version of death, but I didn't think a wedding was what you had in mind.

When I was living in San Francisco years ago. I use to live in an area called Nob Hill. It was a really nice area and anyone who knows it knows that... but they also know you go one block the wrong way and you're in the WORST area in the city. The Tenderloin.

I use to have to walk through it to get to work and no one really ever bothered me except this skanky crack whore. She would bug me everyday for change, for a smoke... she'd do this for some money or that. Use your imagination.

Anyway, I use to call her "Walking Death". The sad part is, if you REALLY looked at her. minus the drug problem, the stink and all the other problems taking over her life, she was actually a very pretty girl. I mean, she wasn't any older then 22-24 years old. I mean, honestly, had her life gone a different direction she would have been beautiful.

So one day I just stopped seeing her around and never did again. I figured she was either locked up or Dead.

But to make a long story short, I used her as my inspiration for this character. She roams the streets. In her purse is a glove. Once she puts it on, it allows her to do what needs to be done.

Ahh the tenderloin... I remember all the good times I spent there. You should've took her favors for your spare change. :yuk:

It's a damn shame, TD. I used to live in Bushwick, Brooklyn, and it was this type of death all over. Great piece of work, as usual. It could only be inspired by real life... or is that "real death"?

What a broad topic for a draw off. I like it.

Wow. And here I thought I had a chance. I think some of the background stories alone can kill my entry :p

I would like to say though, that the original inks are being donated to the "100 Artists Project" (http://www.100artistsproject.com). It's a charity book.

I wanted to donate the colored version, as I was very happy with how it came out (it's marker and colored pencil, with some white gel pen), but I had to make a photocopy of the inks first, before I could color it, so even though the colors are original by hand, the image itself isn't "the original".
