What's the deal lately with DC writers and morbid death/resurrection obsession and implied necrophilia? Robin and Wonder Girl's dead-Conner obsession. Ralph and the Sue scarecrow. Black Adam and the rotting corpse of Isis.

I thought the bloodlust was weird -- heads punched off, family reunions marred by wholesale slaughter, etc. -- but the DC Death Cult may top that.

Looks like they're in a Lazarus Pit to me.

That would be interesting. I hope Isis comes back.

Hahah, very astute of you. Recall that Rip's chalkboard mentioned "The Lazarus Pit rises", something we haven't seen happen yet as of issue 52 as much as I can recall. Before now I kinda assumed that had something to do with Ra's returning via Jason Todd, but I'd be very happy if that's not the case.

The lazarus pit was the first thing i thought of when i looked at that pic. And who knows if those zombie lips can say shazam, she just might be ok... i doubt it myself, but maybe.

What's that from anyway?

And speaking of Isis talking, I'm nit-picking but doesn't she say "O Mighty Isis" to transform? More interestingly, I'd love to see how Adam finds out what his new magic word is.

It's from the upcoming Black Adam miniseries.

And speaking of Isis talking, I'm nit-picking but doesn't she say "O Mighty Isis" to transform?

I believe in the comics she says "I am Isis."

You might be right about the Isis thing, i just thought i recalled Osiris saying Shazam before his untimely demise.

Hm. I think Osiris' phrase is "Black Adam." I may be wrong, though.

Black Adam's new phrase is, "Fuck that shit, Pabst Blue Ribbon!"

Yes, his phrase is 'Black Adam'. Osiris is the counterpart of CMJ (Capt. Marvel Jr.).

Upcoming Black Adam miniseries? But I thought Black Adam were already became mortal as in "52" week 50 and as well as "World War III" miniseries? He's desperately seeking the magic words for him to transform back to Black Adam??

Yes, this is the story afterwards. After gaining popularity in 52 this is the time for Dc to cash in. That and because the new Captain Marvel series suck monkey balls.

Well, one of them does. Jeff Smith's Shazam! The Monster Society of Evil is excellent.

I haven't read that one yet, but I assume anything that Jeff Smith do is great. I was actually referring to the Judd Winnick title. The Painter generated art doesn't even impress me, and the story is freakishly ridiculous.
