I found these pencils by Leinil Yu on DeviantArt. Thought I'd put some colors on them. I'm trying to push my contrast more since that seems to be the major crit people have had about my colors so far. Also working on reflective color versus local. C&C if you have the time. Thanks.

not all of the highlights match with the light source... mainly gh's flames. It's most noticable on dd. at first it looks great, and I'm not sure I could compete with it, but it is a little confusing/muddled. Maybe this has more to do with the background color than anything else?

Snowviper is dead-on about the highlights. They're coming from everywhere rather than from the direct lightsources that GR and the Punisher's muzzle flashes would be providing. But what I really think is hurting this picture is the background. These are three characters that mainly operate in the darkness, and placing an earthtone background color behind them really makes them look out of their element. I'd place them in a MUCH darker setting and fix those highlights to light them from below. It would make this a much stronger piece.

Snowviper and BDC - Thanks for the crits. The light source in this one got a little out of hand for my level. I tried to keep DD side and Punisher's shoulder/arm lit by GR's head, DD's other side and Punisher's other shoulder/hand and dominant face lit by the gun blast, and GR's torso and Punisher's shoulder/hand lit by the other blast. I got too complicated though and tried to throw in a top-left warm light and a bottom-right cool one. So now, with my inexperience of rendering the main lights added to the in errors with the environmental lighting, it looks like lights are coming from everywhere. Oiy! The bg could go darker, too. I originally had it lighter and warmer, but the figures didn't pop off it at all. :(

maybe if you drop the top-left/bottom-right lighting, and strengthen the lighting from the muzzle flashes and gr's head. sure there's usually a lot of different light sources going on, but sometimes one or two of them will overpower the others so you don't notice them.
