Just went the traditional route on this and added some hunting gear on her.

Much agreed! I think I will too...so much school work though, I don't think I'll have the usual finished look...:(

But my sketch is already done. :D

The entries already are looking mighty hot! :har:

I think they're all pretty good! Eric Romans just kicks the most ass!

( Maybe, next time, I should take a lil' longer to work on mine ... aaahh hindsight! )

Erik Roman you just stole the show!!

Maybe you shoulda waited till last minute to post it, Erik! You most likely chased some potential entries away! ;)

I think I'll sit this one out....:p

-Nicole =)

P.S. Absolutely stunning work! What kinda pencils? You handle them very well...shading, lighting, texture, color choices...everything. Now if it was finished...I think I'd go blind from the intensity...

Eric, that is a great picture! It reminds me of those old Sci-fi/fantasy books I used to get at the bookstore (had paintings of dragons, etc). :kewl:

Yeah, was trying to be cute and funny with the bubbles from the sea floor volcanic ejection port. Never thought of her eating some bad sushi...

I have to agree tho, above all else, I think Erik is going to win this hands down.

Well...there's always 2nd place. And 2nd place is 1st place, if the winner never showed up in the first place.

It is great to still see people posting, though! Maybe I won't be a chicken...I think I might post mine too.:whistlin:

I know I'm coming off sounding like a total dumb butt here, but who is Arthur Adams and what does he have to do with my sketch? ANYBODY?

LOL

okay...if you SERIOUSLY don't know who Art Adams is, have a taste of his work:Art Adam's work (http://home.pacbell.net/adbm3/aabook4.jpg)

Your styles, at least based on your mermaid art, is so uncannily similar, I find it hard to believe he/his work hasn't had some kind of influence on your work.
