Sega gets Thor, Cap and Iron Man license

Marvel Entertainment and SEGA of America announced early this morning that the two companies have expanded on their existing license deal to include the development and distribution right to games inspired by three more characters from the House of Idea's stable of Super Heroes: Captain America, The Incredible Hulk, and Thor. The exclusive, multi-year, global licensing agreement means that SEGA will be keeping busy by creating titles for consoles, handhelds, and PC based upon both the original comic books and Marvel's planned feature film adaptations of the characters. The new deal expands Marvel and SEGA’s previous announcement to create titles based on Marvel's Iron Man character, whose game and film are slated to be released in Summer 2008.

Lining up their chips for a future Avengers/Captain America movie? I'd love to see Sega make a fighting game in the style of Virtua Fighter 5 with these characters.

Depends on how the license is written, UA uses the Ultimate Version of the characters. Sega may just hold the movie versions.
