When using save for web in Illustrator what is the correct size for a lettered page. Sorry, I asked this question before but I lost my notes.

When using save for web in Illustrator what is the correct size for a lettered page. Sorry, I asked this question before but I lost my notes.
I always make it 690px wide, which is a recommendation from Jason Arthur that has worked quite well.

Yeah, usually just making it 690 pixels wide will make it look like actual comic page size on the screen (depending on the individual viewers' screen resolution).

I think it depends on the usage and ultimately the font.
I assume that you are saving to th e web for web reading, then the final size should be the size that all font is easily readable. Different font and different sizes will require different final web sizes. 600-700 pixels at 72 DPI is a good starting point for most comic fonts at between 6-8 points.
