What the hell happened to this station. They had two review shows X-play and Judgment Day, they sack Judgment Day and keep X-play. They had an episode of X-play that featured zero reviews, and did origins of their stupid skit characters.

Look at the schedule.

Cops, Jamie Kennedy, Star Trek and Cheaters.
This used to be a good channel, then they merged with Tech Tv and it went to hell.

Are you kidding ? -Arrested Development, Man Show and Ninja Warrior kick ass. Jamie Kennedy and STNG have their moments. Cheaters and Cops blow, but overall, I like the channel.

No I am not. A channel that is called Tv for Gamers, should be atleast 80% video game based programs.

The same could be said that Tech TV was good until it merged with G4.

Now - the channel sucks ass like every other "specialty" channel on the dial, none of which cater to their "specialty" anymore. Except for the "outdoors" channels and I never watch those anyway.

The only thing G4 is good for is Olivia Munn's cleavage. Morgan Webb has gotten too jaded and cynical, so she's difficult to watch unless she stays quiet.

And a channel called Sci Fi shouldn't be showing wrestling.

And a channel called Music Television should show music videos and not just their shitty "reality" shows 24/7

And a channel called Music Television Two that was created to make up for its parent channel not showing musice videos anymore, should show music videos and not just their shitty "reality" shows 24/7

Yeah, I remember when Morgan was the occasional "rare glimpse" amidst the "tech geekiness" that was "Screensavers".

What pisses me off the most is when these channels start up and they have lots of promise, only to turn into a clone of already, existing channels.

Eventually people will stop watching and, because the channel is still branded as a "specialty" channel, The Powers That Be assume nobody will watch that type of specialty channel.

I LOVED (loved loved loved LOVED) VH1 Classics. Nothing but videos, and all grouped in nice "genres" like 80s stuff, or R&B and so forth. Then they slowly started adding some of VH1's old crap, but it was late at night (like 2am) and it was usually something like a concert, so it wasn't too bad. But now we've got nothing but "Behind the Music" and all sorts of other crap. WTF, man?!?

The wrestling on SCI-FI is totally fucking flabbergasting. Double WTF!?!!!

G4 is like "Spike" with the occasional video game show, now. Christ, for the past few months I was SURE "Ninja Warrior" was on Spike. Thankfully my TiVo knew the difference.

I want my M(usic) TV!!!!

I was digging the old uncut Star Trek episodes they used to air. Arrested Development and the occasional Attack of The Show episode are all I really catch nowadays. I don't mind X-Play, but Attack of The Show has fallen out of favor for me a bit. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it needs some of the old flavor back with some of their newer updates (The Loop, The Feed).

G4tv should be to games what ESPN is to sports. I wish they would have kept Judgement Day over X-play. I have no idea why they want that show to be like SNL. Every review has a lame joke or a snide pointless comment.

Cops, Cheaters, and Star Trek are shown on multiple other channels. I expect them to pick up Scrubs pretty soon.

I still don't understand how people can watch 863 wife beaters wearing sleeveless tee shirts get dragged out of their trailers and into the cop cars, and yet every time have it be "new" and "fresh"...

It's called making money. I remember people bitching here about how bad g4tv was (Marv was one I remember well) and now they got rid of what everyone hated and people still bitch. Except now the channel is making money.

I liked the concept but man, it got old quick.

Never did see tech tv but I'd be geeking out over that.

They actually devoted an entire day to 420. Then put on a movie that has nothing to do with gaming. I say a name change and the loss of all thing gaming within a year or two.

I couldn't agree with you more..VH1 Classic was the BEST channel..It had been over twenty five years since I put on a music channel and just left it on. And SUCH good stuff too.

I am waiting for VH1 The Return becasue MTV is a lost cause.

As for tech Tv..That channel was fucking brillinat!!! When the whole G4 crap came down I was SO pissed!! So part of me is glad they are tanking! They wanted to be as successful as TTV but they dropped everything that made that channel great including the people and alienating a bulk of the core crossover audiance...it was doomed from the start!

I had been trying to figure out what kind of audience they were trying to reach. Sessler has become a joke over the years. I have no idea why they do skits when he has no comedic timing. When they switched to X-play, they probably told him to keep his job he had to act like an ass. It is a shame that we lost Call for Help and Screen Savers.

I think most of the old personalities from the networks that survived the merge of the two channels sensed the impending demise of all that was great about the respective channels and split. As more and more time slots opened up they were filled in with reruns of other shows. I think most of the old hosts are now doing online shows. Laura Foy and Tina Wood (who I'll admit to having a little crush on) are both working for on10.net. Kevin Rose founded digg.com.

It is just a shame that a great resource has turned into what it is now.
With their promotion of drug use, I now know what audience they are trying to capture.
