Unfinished Face - Crits Welcomed

Trying to get back into painting again. I want to go deeper with my colors but I'm not there yet. What do you think?

more contrast from light to dark, and then it would POP!

I only use Painter. It just doesn't feel right painting in photoshop. I use oil pastel brushes with the grain turned off. I find the blending to be better than even the standard watercolor brush that every else uses.

are you going to remove the line art and then do a full digital painting??? that'd be groovy, i liek what youve done here im thinking the sides of her face could use some more shading.

That's a good question. If I were a better colorist I would. I would want to fix the anatomy of it too but I will repost more 'finished' art in the future. I appreciate the confidence in my ability though.
