I wonder if the emulation software emulates the nintendo slowdown. If not, then TMNT is a whole different game...

TMNT is a pretty awful game. I remember playing the hell out of it when I was a little boy just because it was the turtles. LOL.

Now Turtles in Time...that's a turtles game!!!

Bonus fact: TMNT is 600 points, instead of the regular 500 points. dunno why.

'Cause it comes with extra bugs. If memory serves, and this is a stretch considering I played this game as a 6-year-old, this game was developed by Konami. Maybe some 3rd party developers need extra kick back to be convinced to put their shizzle on the VC?

I'm thinking it has more to do with current licensing rights holders (or at least, an attempt to cash in a little on the renewed interest due to the movie).

the original was hard as hell and I don't know a person that has beat it. Ultra games really tanked on that one.

If you get the scrolls the game becomes very easy.

So you play through that hard ass game, only to get a super simple cheesy ending that goes *against* TMNT canon? Wow...

TMNT NES Speed Run (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_hLTKWF8zw)

Now you know someone who has beaten TMNT.

What really sucks is, I remember everything, up until right before Shredder. I think I had gotten to that flying backpack/astronaut guy (the sub-boss). I never realized I was that close to the end of the game...

What NES game had a ending that made all the work worth it?
The worse culprit was Rygar. No saves no codes, straight though for nothing.

Golgo 13 had a pretty good ending.

That was a good game, although I never got around to beating it.

Damn, now I've got that itch to play some TMNT and curse at my television all night.

I saw that TMNT today! I'm pissed that it's 600 points, but I figure, like you said, it's licensing because the movie came out and they made a deal.

I loved that game. It is a super pain in the ass. I still have it on my NES. I beat it. Turtles in Time was much better, I agree.

I'm really surprised that nintendo is making people pay for super mario bros. They should throw it in as a freebie.
