On a lonely Sunday my friend Matt calls me and wants to know if I would like to come over and hang out. I accept and arrive in the idea that we would probably watch a movie or something. Then, he reached in the entertainment center and pulled out to wii remotes. I had seen the commercials and have seen people play it before but I never really understood why people would want one. So he hands me one and starts up a game of golf. I watched as he Teed off and got the basic understanding of how everything worked so I stepped in front of the tv and swung away. I had a blast. This was probably the most fun I have had in video games in a long time. After our game I sat down and told him that I definately had to get one. He told me that they were extremely scarce and that if I could find one I better buy it quickly. I remember being in the local best buy and seeing a couple of wiis on the shelf a week or so ago so I checked them out and they were sold out. I checked on Bestbuy.com again, sold out. I checked with numerous other stores and websites all to turn up emtpy handed. So I gave up the search knowing that I should be getting some calls about another shipment in April sometime. When, by Chance, an old friend texted me just to catch up and see how I was doing. We texted for a while when by chance she asked me if I wanted to buy a wii! I instantly said yes! She said it didnt come with any games but it did come with an extra remote and nunchuck. She said she has been trying to sell it for some time but nobody she had talked to wanted it. She said she was asking 300. 300 right now was a lot of money. I was planning on buying a new one with my credit card but didnt want the higher interest rate for cash advances. I told her that I would love to take it but it would take time for me to raise the money. She said that was fine and that she was just happy to get rid of it(doesnt have time to play it). She then texted me again saying "you have always helped me out when I needed help with my computer and you did things very quickly, how about we drop the price to 270" I accepted of course and was over joyed that my dedication to my friends and family came back around.
I just thought that this was a pretty interesting story.
