Since our distributor basically screwed us this week (ie; no Rayne), I tossed up a set which will last a week. Hey, might as well grab some free promo so people know it's on the way.

Also picked up the latest Previews catalog to see RED BLOOD RUN #1 listed, for some reason THEY decided it didn't make sense to SHOW both covers in solicits. I contacted my representative and asked if NOT showing the second cover will HELP generate higher orders. Can't wait to hear what he says.

I noticed Red Blood Run in Previews today. :) Did you want the "Video Game Tie-In" image with the description? It would of been nice to see both covers, since some titles that have many covers (Dynamite Entertainment) have them shown.

Right. I screamed about it. They say they "accidentally forgot" to show the other cover. So yeah, sales on that issue will be much lower now and I got the distributor to blame for it. Sometimes I feel like they do this stuff in hopes of making indy publishers go out of business. I estimate several hundred dollars in lost sales due to their mistake.

Is there any legal way to get them for this? I mean, you tell them to advertise for something a certain way, and yet they ignore you and do whatever they want.
I mean, if some stupid woman can spill coffee on herself and make millions, why can't cases like this be open and shut?! Maybe then Diamond would get their act together.
Or maybe you are right, and Diamond has a hidden agenda to get Indy publishers out of the business. I personally hate Diamond (since they seem to screw over people like yourself, and they never get the orders right for my LCS), and wish another company would get into the comic book shipping business.

The ultimate solution for Diamond is to break its monopoly over comics distribution--force it to break itself apart into competing annexes like our government did with the phone companies. This is tough and costly egg to crack. I swear, if things are still the way they are when I hit my middle-age years and have some decent bank to throw at lawyers, those fuckers better look out. I'll at least be a major nuisance to them.

Man, I hope this current auction isn't an indication on Rayne's popularity. 2 bidders and just barely cracking $4 for 3 comic books? Whoa.

I wouldn't worry. I was bidding on one item a while back that was at 20 bucks and ended up over 100 dollars within 2 minutes towards the end of the auction.

I read this and was like, "Wow, really?" so I figure I'll head over to Ebay and score all three covers at once on the cheap.
...nope. Someone else seems to have an interest in them. I guess I'll just grab my one cover from my LCS. It was worth a shot!

Yeah, I was scared for a little while. The current auction is above $20 for the 3 book now. I feel better. Starting up a new one tonight. Maybe you could get lucky? Sometimes that's crazy to put up a new one while the old is still going. But, maybe it'll be worth showing Wizard people STILL want BloodRayne comics so they can put it back in their Top 5 indies list.

Yeah, I feel bad it went up that high. But by the time the auction ends, I should have a couple copies of 3 covers for Tibetan Heights so I'll toss those in. He'll be happy when he opens up the package and sees books that won't be out until the end of the month.

Using my first post to tell you how freakin' awesome that is of you!
Cheers, and keep up the good work. That goes to everyone involved in BloodRayne comics.

Ed's a good guy...if you can look past his prejudiced views concerning innocent forest creatures that occassionally visit his backyard. He takes the term 'No Trespassing' and kicks it up a notch, applying it to anything with a heartbeat.

Haw! It's my dog, dude. All it took was one groundhog to rip her face open and it was the start of a bloody war against them. She's destroyed about a dozen in the 6 years since. Everytime my neighbors stop by they express how happy they are, those rascals were digging up their yards in a big way.
The other auction moved up too fast, tossed up another here:

Haw. That didn't last long before it hit the $20 mark.

Hmm... I wonder if Wizard is paying attention.

Maybe we should politely point it out to them somehow? :) We need that top 5 indy spot!

Heh.
Well, the guy that won the set for over $30 will be surprised when he opens the package and sees a TIBETAN HEIGHTS Incentive Cover added to the pack for free. Should make him happy. I wrote a note so he wouldn't think I messed up.
