It's a triple-dip by Tecmo.

It is an upgrade of the X-box game with 3 new levels, and all new graphics.

March 28, 2007 - Tecmo's PS3 update to the original Ninja Gaiden isn't due out in America and Japan until June, but those wanting a sneak peak will have to wait less than a month. In the latest issue of Japan's Famitsu Weekly, Ninja Gaiden Sigma director Yosuke Hayashi revealed plans to make a playable demo of the game available on the PlayStation Network starting 4/27. The demo will include one specially created chapter that won't be in the final version and will allow players to use a large number of weapons from the start.
The big question is, of course, will owners of PS3s outside of Japan be able to get quick access to the demo through the US and European PlayStation Stores? While Tecmo hasn't made an official announcement, Hayashi did reveal that the demo will include an online score rank mode that will allow players from throughout the world show off their ninja skills. Sounds like PS3 owners everywhere have something to look forward to late next month.

Hardest. Game. Ever!
Nah, not really. TMNT for the NES takes the cake. The new graphics look sweet, even with the original game's graphics as pretty as they were.

If you get the Ninja Scrolls TMNT becomes so much easier. Also Don is the best character, because his staff goes through walls and floors.

Let's see if they upgrade the difficulty to easy. I'm always down for a challenge, but I haven't play a game so frustratingly cheap since UMK3.

It says they changed the AI and the Enemy attack patterns.

For better or worse?

Will have to wait for the Demo to find out. They rebuilt the game so it could go either way.

Yes! I had countless nights throwing fits at my X-Box over this game, and I NEVER throw fits. ~Sigh~ good times.
What's frustratingly cheap now? The Street Fighter X-Box Live Arcade download. Friggin' Ryu!!!!

Bah TMNT wasn't that hard, just that stupid underwater level, unnecessarily hard, though not quite as bad as the TopGun refueling minigame.

Maybe, but even Don couldn't beat the infamous "Nintendo Slowdown"...

Topgun and every aspect of it was a ton easier than most of the TMNT game... Topgun was the type of game that just "clicked". You got into the groove and then before you know it, you finished the game.

I had a really hard time with Ninja Gaiden when I first played it. I actually gave up, but just recently I picked it back up and it's not nearly as hard as I remember. The very last boss with the floating skulls has me baffled though.
