I'd say this leans more towards "a font" than "a logo". It's extremely readable (which most people tend to forget...or trade for over the top "style"...but that's another thread...) but it's not terribly interesting.

Try this: Imagine the book on a wall of comics in store. Is that logo going to stand out amongst all the other logos on other books?
