Logo idea - I need opinions please

The only vibe I get is that it's a tech book. I can't really read the title. Not knowing what the series is about, I can't think up any suggestions...not that I would be able to otherwise.

It would really help to know what kind of book it is for. Is it a comic, a novel, a masthead, what?

It is very hard to read as is. I mean I can make out the word, but I have to get in close and tilt my head. Most people would not even notice the word and just think it's a design element.

I agree with Brant. Readability seems to be an issue. I like what you're thinking---very creative and a unique approach---but I fear it will be lost once you drop artwork behind it.

The book is a science fiction/hero comic book. The item containing the logo is actually a techno-halo that is the centerpiece of the story arch. I have this in the hands of a professional logo designer so he will produce a highly readable final version I'm sure. Thanks for the advice everyone.
