With these I complete my collection of the Bruce Timm inspired DCU animated series. I gotta say I'm looking forward to the commentaries and having them all on disc but I'm sad that this is the end of this version of the animated DCU.
Do yourself a favor and go pick up every volume from BTAS, STAS, Batman Beyond, JL, and JLU. This has been the DCU for the last 15 years for me.
Bittersweet. :(

Already have my complete set of BTAS, however I've yet to invest in the Justice League/JLU series of DVDs quite yet. Is that show still in production?

No JL/JLU is out of production. Season 2 of JL is phenominal Season 1 of JLU is really great because it contains the Cadmus arc which is one of the best storylines ever done in cartoons IMO. The special features are great too, the commentaries are great for a comic geek like myself.

I love this stuff. I totally missed the last season of JLU though, I didn't have cable....Season one was the shit though. My favorite episode is the one with Captain Marvel. Oh and the one where Batman is forced to sing in a nightclub reducing Zatanna to tears. OHHHH and the one based on that Alan Moore story....Shit there were too many that season to count actually. WHAT AN ENDING!!! I thought anyway, then they threw in that second season...Damn I'll have to buy it!

"For the man who has everything" is also great, based on Alan Moore's story. It's one of the rare times Moore's work was translated well into a film.

You can credit Bruce Timm, Paul Dini, and (later) Dwayne McDuffie for the excellent adaptations of those storylines for a show that caters to BOTH the avid comic reader and the general public.
