Maybe we'll say the same thing one day with The Wraith is made into a Hollywood budgeted film.

You don't have to always be negative. I know the web is a hard way read people, but sometimes you just come off arrogant.

Sure maybe you aren't interested, but you could acknowledge the production of a DW Alums' project being made for the Silver Screen. Chris Kirby was a major contributor to DWP during years 1 and 2. And he's a great guy and damned if I'm not proud that he stuck with The Lost Squad to make it cross mediums. I hope he takes what little success he gets and creates some more great work.

Nothing to do with being negative, I just don't find any of those listed as being of particular interest to me. I'm certainly entitled to say that and to feel as I do. I'm not the only one in this thread to feel that way, but irrespective of that, I never said any of those listed projects were good, bad or anything otherwise. Just not of interest to me.

Yep, Kel Nuttal letters the book and does pre-press. Of course fabulous are by Alan Robinson.

ummm so no can say what they think?

It has nothing to do with opinion, it's rather the lack of opinion. An opinion is support by thought. What you, sometimes, and many others do is make a blanket statement that has no credibility or support.

I saw the list, which for the most part isn't exciting. Not much catches my eye enough to drag me out into a rude movie theatre, especially with the cost anymore. If I hadn't seen Lost Squad mentioned, I wouldn't have made a comment. It wouldn't have been worth my time.

I felt it important to comment because this movie is an extension of creative pool which we know as Digital Webbing. And if you read the comics, you might realize it's a really great story by a great creative team. Of course it might have little to reflect when the movie is done.

I'm just happy for Chris and Alan, and find the apathetic comments rude.

I'd like to see a Conan remake. The original two as well as Red Sonja was a classic, but still...there are stuff in there that makes me wanna laugh out loud whenever I rewatch the movies.

Is The Red Star based on that comic book?

Hmm...still no sign of a Maniac Cop remake. :(

HaphazardJoy

Boys From Brazil remake?! LAME.
Ace Ventura 3 LAME.
Hellraiser remake.... could be better, could be worse. Original didn't suck, but it was nowhere near Barker's creative genius in his novels.

Red Star movie... I'm torn, I LOVE the books, I have the plus-sized graphic novels, I already worshiped Snakebite on other forums, and I love the concept. Still, there's so much room for this to go from amazing to cavity-drilling. I hope they preserve enough of the atmosphere of the books, but if they keep the sparse story of the books it'll be horrible. It's a definate case of medium to medium disparities.

If the remake of HellRaiser is as visceral as the first film I might be interested. The horror films being released as of late have been pretty hit or miss.

if you took that list of movies just on its own merit, regardless of who created it (after all, all these movies were created by someone whose family, friends and peers are proud), judging by the descriptions, i'd have to agree that ther'es nothing there of interest. nothing that seems original or worth spending hard earned money on.

and saying something is uninteresting is stating an opinion. eg if someone asked you about a certain actresses' looks you might not be attrqcted to her, but at the same time you don't find her unattractive--that is an opinion.

I don't mean to speak for Ron (and Ron, correct me if I am wrong) but I don't think he is saying you have to like the movie rather show respect and be proud of Chris for making it. I think if Frank had said, "I don't find any of those movies interesting but I am proud for Chris, or I wish Chris luck.", then we could of avoided the banter. It is just like, I personally think "THE WRAITH" short sucked, and I told Frank that, but I also told him that I think it is awesome what he did. I think, again, Ron is just asking you for the same respect for a DW member. It is just like, if I ever got a movie made about one of my ideas I fully expect to hear plenty of b!tchen here but I also expect a little respect because (if nothing else) I am a member also. I don't think that is too much to ask.
