Black Adam is now up there as far as my favorite DC characters go.

I may be behind the times, but who is Atom Smasher talking about when he says he won't be alone?

Have to wait till Tuesday to know the answer to that one.

Shame Adam's evil again. How dull. Nice cover though.

I just noticed that Death is in between the panels.

No, he's not 'evil' again. He's back into killing, yes, but not in a homicidal maniac kinda way. The real bad guys is trying to make him look like a real villain, though his actions are obviously fueled by rage rather than ambition. He's DC's equivalent of The Hulk in some ways.

Guh?
The Wings.

What I hadn't notice is that it's actually a two page spread. Now you see Death a lot clearer.

So, Death is in one of the panels, not in between the panels.

I hesitate to call Black Adam evil. He is definitely an anti-hero, and he is definitely one of those "end justifies the means" type of people, but not evil.

My definition of hero (anti or otherwise) is a little different to yours then. To me, he is evil, and I think that's a shame. I would have preferred he stay away from that side a little longer. But it's easy for writers to fall back on the old, cliche of handling that character.

So then all soldiers and leaders are evil for striking back against the people who attack them? Because that's what Black Adam is doing. If someone killed your entire family you wouldn't strike back against them? Puh-lease.

It was said that when Adam does find out who created the Horsemen, it will be a surprise what he does.

They backed him into a corner. He tried to do it the peaceful way, and look what it got him.

A few points from this issue.

Adam: And it is in her memory that I will allow you to leave here alive. I do not require your help, and I do not want your pity. Look to your own affairs, and leave me to attend mine. The last of the Four Horsemen who murdered my wife and brother fled to Bialya and was given aid and comfort by the government. A government bought by Intergang, much as they tried to buy their way into Kahndaq. But Intergang has other targets. Don’t they? Isn’t it time you went home, Renee Montoya?

Bialya: The President of Bialya is upset and the betrayal of Mannheim in regards to Death showing up in his country knowing that Black Adam will soon follow.
President: The Oolong Complex is refusing all incoming communications. They appear to be in Lockdown.
Mannheim: Then it looks like we’ve both got problems to deal with.
Me, well, I got a double-agent at the Oolong Complex…and you…the funeral in Kahndaq just ended so…
President: --then Black Adam is on his way here! You must help! My army won’t be enough—
Mannheim: That’s what I’m trying to say El Presidento. Nice knowin’ ya.

Adam knows where the Horsemen came from and is on his way.

So Intergang is also targeting someone or something closer to home. Maybe trying to kill Batwoman again?

Mwynn

After he is done with Oolong the next path is Intergang. Adam is going to go around the world, and smash anyone he thinks is involved.

China is getting ready to sick the Great Ten on him.

The Great Wall of China: The Great Ten are called together in regards to the Black Adam situation in Bialya.
General-In-Iron: …he reduced an entire sovereign nation to ashes over a thirty-six hour period. The first reports suggest casualties in the millions. AS of now, we must be alert for any unexpected development which may threaten the security of our nation and it’s people.
Accomplished Perfect Physician: Unexpected. His family has been murdered, August General-In-Iron. We know how volatile he is and yet he’s been provoked intentionally.

So he destroyed Bialya to ruins.
Allright, now he's a homicidal maniac.
I was a bit disappointed though, Black Adam VS. Death should have gone longer. The Kingdom Come reference was kinda cool.
