The original was doing pretty well, until around 20 minutes were left. Then every choice Bacon made was stupid.

Well not just that, it turned from a decent sci fi movie, into a low grade horror. He was written as a smart character up until that point in the movie.

I normally enjoy Paul Verhoeven's action/sci-fi/fantasy films, but this one left me cold. I love his Total Recall and Starship Troopers.

Slater is really in the dumps, isn't he? Alone In The Dark, and then this. Pity, I kinda liked him in Churchill.
