Alright, here goes my 2 cents worth. I think the design in the background is nice, it jumps out at you. The big problem I think is that the image in the foreground has too little depth and contrast for the image in the background. Try creating darker shadows on the women, but without taking away from the brightness she has at the moment, just a suttle hint of a darker shadow. I don't know if you've ever tried, but try adding a cold color to the darker part of the shadow, like a deep purple is usually best. It's a little touch that I think is very effective.

The second one you can find on the www.deviantart.com website, just look for M-U-D-C-A-T or mudcat. He's got a great coloring tutorial.
