It's been a while since I've been able to post anything. Hopefully I'll be able to show some more stuff soon.

This is a picture that I had commissioned for my wife. I had intended on giving it to her on her birthday, but wasn't able to get it finished in time. Good thing Valentine's Day is there to save me!

Lineart is by Carlos Gomez otherwise known as NemafronSpain (http://%5d%5bhttp://nemafronspain.deviantart.com/)

Inks by Joseph Pruitt

Colors by yours truly.

If anybody else is interested in taking a stab at it, shoot me an e-mail and I can send you the hi-res lineart. I'd love to be able to get different versions to give to my wife.

The choice of colors was good. . . But I think you could reduce the value of the colors of the piano la back and those weigh of wood and candles. And the dress lacked a more little of it blushes. In my vision

I went back at it a little over the weekend, and (hopefully) made it a little more dramatic. It seems to flow a little better to me this way. What do you guys think?

You need lower lows and higher highs. Your shadows need to go really dark in certain places, and you highlights need to follow those candles.

I was thinking the very same thing. But, thankfully, the printer at Kinko's took care of it for me. The CMYK version that I had printed came out much darker on the printer than the RGB version I have posted here. It really pushed the darker colors back and brought out the oranges and yellows. Overall, I was extremely pleased with the way it printed, and my wife loved it.

As I said, if anyone else is interested in taking a shot at it, let me know and I can send you the lineart. I'd love to get different versions for her.
