Bendis' revealed 'em in the new Wizard:

The New Avengers

Spider-Man
Spider-Woman
Dr. Strange
Iron Fist
Luke Cage
Echo
Wolverine
Ronin (New mystery character wearing the outfit.)

And don't forget the other team:

The Mighty Avengers

Ares
Ms. Marvel
Wonder Man
Iron Man (Unknown if it's Tony)
The Sentry
Black Widow
Wasp

Looks like the New Avengers have the Mighty Avengers out numbered! Sure, the Mighty Avengers have The Sentry, but Dr. Strange could cast a wicked ass spell on him to cancel out his much applauded POWER OF A MILLION EXPLODING SUNS!

*SIGH* Where the fuck is Cap?

New Avengers line-up.

I like that Spider-Woman is on the team, even Dr. Strange.

Also, Echo, and Ronin.

But the rest........

Marvel needs to try a Cage and Iron Fist mini-series.

Wolverine is an X-Man and has his own book.

Spider-Man has three or four books.

The Avengers need a new line-up.

Depending on how fast Strange is casting the spell, he could strip Sentry of his powers. ;)

Wonder Man, I don't care for the "new" costume. I believe he wore it already.
Wonder Man can't fly either, I don't like that. :man:

Oh man...I hope Strange plays the "stay at the base and give orders from there" role. Otherwise every friggin' issue is gonna be, "Ah, but I have one more spell from the depths of my infinite knowledge!" and poof...it's over.

Considering how the f*cker won't even lift a finger to aid in "Civil War", I find it ironic that he would become an actual Avenger afterwards...

Dr. Strange?
::sings:: One of these things is not like the others....

I really like Strange and all, I just don't see where he fits in with some street crime fighters and secret agent types.

The Mighty Avengers team works for me, but from the previews, I'm doubting I'll be following the book.

Yeah, in Civil War 6, the Watcher asks Strange if he realizes he could end the entire event with barely a thought. Strange acknowledges he could, but choses *not to*.

I like the New Avengers line up.

For a book that's supposed to deal with the secret, conspiracy side of things in the post Civil War Marvel Universe, the line up is cool. They'll be the down and dirty, in the shadows Avengers team while Mighty Avengers takes the spotlight and the glory.

As for Dr. Strange, Bendis has said that with Brian K Vaughn's take on the Dr., he would make sure that there's more to the character than just having him snap his fingers and saving the entire team from doom time after time. He also says he joins the team because he's remorse for not doing anything during the whole war.

And as for Cap, every sign points to his death. (Until they break into Reed and Tony's labs and clone him so we still have a blank slate, man out of time character, without all the WWII baggage... heh) Now wouldn't it be a kick in the nuts if we have a Steve Rogers clone in the Ronin suit AND the Iron Man armor so each team has a "Captain America"?

Bwah ha ha ha ha ha ha!

People are still talking "cloning" but they already retconned it as a robot/android.

I like putting Dr. Strange on a decent superteam (the Defenders anyone?). I also like his motivation, that he sat out of the Civil War and bad shit happened, so he feels like he needs to do something more proactive.

By the way, I think it's Matt Murdock in the Ronin suit (Bendis mentioned that the person in the Ronin suit was connected to Echo in some way).

Can we just forget the whole Echo/Ronin thing ever happened? Please? If they have a new Ronin, I hope it's a NEW RONIN. I like the character design, so make it its own character already damnit instead of putting another mystery character in the suit.

Nah! New Defenders will happen after World War Hulk.

Alright, so they premiered today, with Spidey in black, sweet. Ronin claims not to be Matt Murdock though, so scratch that one!
