I was pretty jazzed by the creative teams they announced for the books, and I picked up first issues of Wildcats, Authority, and Stormwatch PHD. Now the only one of those three that seems to be coming out a a regular pace is Stormwatch. All I really wanted was an Authority book by Grant Morrison.
Is that too much to ask?

It may have something to do with Jim Lee being wrapped up in All Star Land (hence only one issue of Wildcats so far). Not sure what's the deal with Authority; I picked up the first issue, and while it was interesting I could tell from the get go that it was going to be a slow moving object, and decided to wait for the inevitable trade.
For what it's worth, the Stormwatch PHD series has been excellent. I really feel like I'm getting my money's worth with each issue, and I love Doug Mahnke's artwork.

Who cares, it was bound to be pretty crap anyways.

I've been getting the Midnighter solo book, which is pretty cool so far. Although, I don't think it's part of the Worldstorm event.. which makes my point pretty moot.......
So here is a banana. :carrot:

Wasn't this Wildstorm's big psuedo-relaunch of their universe?
How things change.

yeah, I was wondering if I had just missed the second issue of Authority, I was initially excited that Grant Morrison was going to be writting it...now I don't really care.
It's amazing how poor schedules can really make me lose interest in books that have so much potential.

I don't know what's going on with SPHD offhand, but Wildcats and Authority were /supposed/ to be released alternating bi-monthly and tightly tied together continuity-wise. Now Wildcats #2 is pushed back to like March 28th or something similarly silly.
The new books are doing so well that apparently the Boys, the best-selling book from the re-launch that wasn't even technically a part of the re-launch, has been canceled as of #6 anyway.

However, the cancellation of The Boys seems to have nothing to do with sales figures, and everything to do with the material not being approved by atleast some of the DC higher-ups. Something about Garth Ennis' non-love for superhero archetypes and how he's presented them....
Look for The Boys to be continuing at another publisher, as soon as Ennis and Robertson get all this ironed out with DC.

Midnighter and Stormwatch P.H.D are the only books worth picking up anyway, and they come out every month. Jim Lee should've never picked up another book, when the one he's been doing for two years (All Star Batman) is months late anyway. Authority coud've been good, I think...it's been so long that I can't remember.
