I'm fairly new around here. Been skulking and checking out people's work, but haven't commented much so far. I thought I'd just start one thread to post my art in rather than starting a new thread for each drawing.

Very very cool stuff. I like them all. You should join some of our draw-offs in the draw-off part of this site. We need more refreshing styles in there and more competition is always good.

There is a hell of a lot of awesomeness in there. I give you credit for your attention to detail and the professional level of clarity and effort you put into your work. I especially liked the green lantern design, the black spider-pig (?), and the Ninja Turtle one (the best one you have up there, in my opinion). And humor is always appreciated. Keep up the good work!

Thanks so much guys. Don't be afraid to rip apart my stuff either. I think I still have much to work on and I've always been decent at taking crits.

I'm trying to expand my work now so that I'm not doing the same static poses, so I will post those as I do them. Thanks again for the encouragement.

A lot of really nice work there. Do you ink your own? I like your darker, gothic, violent stuff the best. It's all good but that seems to be where you tend gravitate. Good work.

Your stuff isn't bad. There are some anatomical issues ( I am speaking in regards to the comic book stuff, not the cartoony stuff). Watch out for what I call bubble anatomy. You tend to give the muscles an inflated look. This is easily fixed by adding more straits and edges to the muscles rather than rounding off every corner. The good part is that there is a natural sense of movement in your pieces, which helps you avoid stiffness. Kepp up the good work.

The stuff I've posted has all been done by me, so pencils, colors, and inks. I have stuff that people have colored for me, but I wanted to avoid posting them for the moment so that I didn't have to worry about citing each individual work. I will get around to them at some point.

I'm a writer who is fairly new to the boards and I've been skulking around as well. I really like your pieces--especially the characters that you do with the swords. The Ninja Turtles piece (as others have said) is incredible!

What I really like about your work is that you show both the pencils and the inked work as well. That is very cool! :thumbs:

I don't have a tablet or anything. I have to do it using the pad on my laptop. That's what really holds me back from exploring coloring.

I should be picking up a Wacom tablet in the near future, but until then, my colors will look bland at best.

Hello all, the strip will be up later today. Jude and I had a slight miscommunication sending it back and forth, and he'll send me the finalized copy later on.


I'll take this time to make our big announcement.

Today we officially open the Blud Boards! Yep, we have our own forum now and we thought it would be a great way to have a dialogue with people out there. There's a dedicated art forum as well, so all you artists should definitely come by and help us build an artists's community.

As an added incentive, 5 of the first 50 people who sign up will be picked randomly by Jude and myself and will be immortalized in the Blud Blood Universe! Those 5 will have superheroes designed based on them and will join our hero in one of his future adventures! 1 of the 5 will also receive a drawing of themselves as their character from me!

I liked the vision coming through the wall, the DDSIL of daredevil and foes, The DC2Robin was okay and the ...iebludsmall looked like something stolen from Rob Liefeld's early sketch book (he really hasn't changed or improved all that much but we'll give him the benefit of the doubt)
