Wow, Jeff. Just... wow. I miss seeing things like this on your blog. I don't get to your deviantART site quite as often as I'd like to. I'm glad you're still posting on Digital Webbing though. I was sorry to hear that your webcomic was nixed, but I appreciate the fact that you're trying to carve your own path your own way. I hope it works out for you. From looking at art like this, I think it will.

My god, that is so gorgeous. I love that even though she's scarred and beat up, she still feels pristine.

At first glance this is a "wow" piece, but you seem to have forgotten the foreshortening below her waist and legs, keeping it in proportion with her head. This gives here the appearance of having massive upper body and arms. Overall this is a really attractive drawing, but that one things lets it down for me.

The finish is beautiful as ever, but I agree that there are some structural problems. Her shoulders are extremely broad and her hips are really narrow, making her structure seem more masculine than it should. Her hands seem rather large and her arms long as well.

But, perhaps that was what you were going for. If she was a warrioress, then perhaps she would be built more like this.

Either way, as always, lovely piece of work.

I'm loving this piece. The anatomy is exagerated unusually, and I LIKE that. Character design is awesome too.The only problem I have with it is she seems to have weird new muscles or implants above her breasts.

I was actually going for the exaggerated look for this character. I wanted the athletic warrior to be the main focus while still making her attractive. Unfortunately I did totally miss the anatomy part. I think the fact that her hands are too big is the root cause. It makes her upper body and arms look bigger than they should... even exaggerated.

Ya, I wanted to make that work but in the end the work would have suffered and that's the last thing I want to happen.
