Lots of foreshadowing of Lois and Clark. Clark, Lana, Lex love triangle twisting. Lex darkening. I'm liking it.

yeah I liked it. Wanna see if the Lake character figures more into the story. I wish they would include Lori Lemaris into the smallville contunuity. She was the mermaid he met while in college. She was the first heartbreak in Clark's life. I'm not sure if I spelled her name right, but she exists...pre-byrne,I think.

Lex totally owned Clark.

CLARK: Lana won't pick you.
LEX: I think she will.
CLARK: Why's is that ?
LEX: Because she's having my baby.
CLARK: :(
LEX: In your fucking face, farmboy !

Of course, I'm paraphrasing. Also, Tori Spelling was in it, where did that come from ?

Clark let her go though. He was being a lil stubborn, and unsuperman like. Which I kinda dug, he has to learn somehow.

Yeah, that was great. This Lex is becoming what all of the other incarnations in movies or tv wished they could've been.
I hope this show runs long and deep.

Maybe they'll reboot Superman with a movie version based on the show in a few years.

This was better than it has been this season, but this show is sharked, no question. I'm a fan, I am, but at this point it's loyalty more than interest.

Lana's character actually developed earlier this year into a conniving bitch...i liked that, it was new. Clark, on the other hand, hasn't developed much at all in the last six years...and that's too bad, he had a lot of room for growth, and they haven't used it more than throw-away sub-plots.

However, with them killing Chloe during sweeps, we may finally see something happen on the show that's long over due...a conclusion.

what? They're gonna kill Chloe? That kinda sucks. I know she isn't in the comics, and is a throw away character, but they shouldn't kill her.

I know there is a "What If" type of episode coming up. It will more than likely be in that one that Chloe "dies". Her real death would definitely kill this already dying show. She and Lex are the only characters that are even remotely interesting anymore. So I really doubt they'll really kill her off.

I do believethough, that last night's episode was one of the better of this season.

They should have ended it last season. I don't follow the behind-the-scenes stuff, so maybe it's been addressed, but I'm guessing they're gonna finish next season with that magic number seven.

Killing Chloe would suck...but hey, I've only bothered to watch like four episodes so far this season.

Whatever happened to bringing Chloe into the comics? I remember there being talk of that at one point.

I think they need to start changing Clark into the mild-mannered guy he's going to have to be to fool Lex and Lois in the future. I mean hey, with the Clark/Lex/Lois characters all knowing each other is it going to take that tingly 'magic kiss' for them both? Clark needs to start moving into his glasses and such.

What the F. They didn't show the episode here. They showed back to back Supernatural episodes.

How is this a good episode??? Tori f'n Spelling???? Give me a break man....the worst actress to step in and just bring the show to a whole new low. Wow....she turns into water....and...uh....listens to gossip. HuH? Plus that whole love triangle thing with clark/lana/lex...yeah, its so over I'm just praying she dies and puts that crap out of it's misery. This show is stalling so bad...it's surpassing the king of all stalls...LOST!

I liked the attraction building between Clark and Lois in this one mainly. You're right about the Spelling character. That was stupid. Who is Tori Spelling anyway? Never watched LOST!

That's as insipid as asking "Who is LaToya Jackson?". Don't you know anything??? :carrot:

To be honest, since the first two seasons I've only watched the episodes with JLA crew. Olliver Queen is the saving grace aside from Lex. It was never a good show to begin with. It was like most of the Marvel movies, I only liked the fact that I saw my favorite characters in live action. There is no development, no cool new uses for his powers, basically by the time Clark figures out what's going on he runs at super speed across town and uses himself as a shield to save people. It got old quick.

Don't forget about the Clark throw. A Smallville episode isn't a Smallville episode unless Clark throws someone into the air.

yeah he has to throw someone, run real fast, which to me is an extension of him flying. I'd like to see him use heat vision more, and discover other aspects of his occular powers. And I'm tired of waiting for Bruce to show up. I think they won't because it would be a waste to not have Bruce in Bat-Gear, or something close. It seems like it would have been Bruce as the Ollie character tho. Because do you really see CLark and Ollie interact this much in the comics....even if he is in the JLA? It seems like Ollie has more disdain for him then BRuce does. Which they might start building up I guess.

Not a bad ep. Tori Spelling aspect was uselss and they just kinda bypassed that whole part of the show.

I thought the Smallville pilot was good, and most of the first season, but it appears to have gone past its used by date now.

I actually didn't like the first season. It reminded me of a xfiles or friday the 13th the series. Every week a new meteor freak. I also don't like the whole kryptonite gives human powers, and Lex is kinda immortal or resistant to injury...otherwise I like the show. Well whenever they show him learning something that shapes the character of Superman.

First season was probably the best, when it was all fresh and new.

The problem with the show is that it's getting too long in the tooth. It stopped becoming about life in Smallville the day they left highschool! Come on man...just bring the show to a conclusion and then start the "Metropolis" spin off series. I'm tired of him not being in the tights anymore. He's all grown up...he's got to begin his birth into the hero and a job at the Daily Planet.

This love triangle thing is done. So done. Way way way done! No wonder I've liked HEROES more then this show anymore.

fluxchild
01-15-2007, 12:17 AM
hey I totally agree with going to Metropolis...he's always there anyway. I still wish they'd bring Bruce around....maybe Lex steals tech from WE and he comes to smallville to investigate. whatever.

The entire concept of this show only really works as a short term venture. So yes, it has gone on too long. It won't continue as a Superman show because the movie series is continuing.

fluxchild
01-15-2007, 09:37 AM
yeah I'm sure of it...that's why they should have let tom welling go ahead and do SR, then they could have tied it to smallvillle as well, but I honestly think this is like a what if universe, and he's being superman right now. I don't believe Clark will put the tights on. This version would probably think it's lame, maybe until this Justice series starts. He'll probably learn the importance for having a secret identity this series

Jeph Loeb use to be involved with the show..He's moved on and I think that really has done a number on this show's quality. I really enjoy it though but it is fucking dragging....they should have ended it when he graduated. How many more seasons are they doing..I hope to God this is the last.
