That's pretty cool, the nitpick that I have though is that the metal/robotic areas look to be ontop of the skin and obviously it should be the other way around.

Still pretty fun pic for a warm up.

yeah, it's kind of flat in those areas..no shadows..i did this about a year ago before i started using white paint, all the little white dots are liquid paper...

if i were to do it over it would look a lot different, but oddly enough i see things here that would help me now.. i seem to go overboard with highlights now that i know a few things about opaques.
the skin here has an even flow 2 it, that i wish i'd start using again.
i save a lot of the things i do that's old..sometimes i just lucked out with a cool picture that even though it's older holds up with what i can do now..this was from about a year ago also and i liked it.

with both these pics i just started sketching eyes and they became these..the second pic was cool 2 me because i pulled off a cool shadow on the crown i'm stillnot sure how i did it..i wish i would have made his mouth closed.i could go in and fix what i don't like ,but i don't .that might change some of it's appeal 2 me(and i might screw it up  )

..gotta love sketching!

I recently started airbrushing an old set of drawers for my kids, my oldest boy wanted the Justice League and I made the time consuming mistake of have masked/sharp edges. Now I reminder why I liked airbrushing freehand - it's quicker and enjoyable! (unlike masking).

If you want to see some pics of it (it's still not finished), I'll post them. Plus I've got a few airbrushed pieces on my website.

Just trying to encourage myself to do more airbrushing (I have to do it afterhours mostly) by talking to like minded people.

Anyway keep up the work.

sure i'd love to see it . i've been learning alot of effects
like how to render marble, granite, wood, lightning .snakeskin/scales..
although these are airbrush techniques, they can be done in any medium i suppose.
if you guys are interested let me know and i'll put together a few photo and how 2 -steps and make a thread to share them with you guys. learn what took me months of hard work :man: to learn in minutes :w00t: !!!

untill then here's another picture from the same time period as the other 2 up there.i mixed brown and blue to make a greyish mixture ...painted the guy...
then i edited in photo-CHOP..(i cut it out with scissors ;) ...) and mounted it on another sheet of paper i misted with black! again, this is before i used white paint so the dots are liquid paper
