Not to ruin the ending or anything. I'll probably have the reaver with a simple danish-pug sword instead of the club and a severed head dangling from the extended hand. And blood. Everywhere.

Love the use of colors and textures.
Can I ask what medium was used?

I'll probably repost the finished version in a week or so.
As far as technique, its a pencil sketch with photoshoppery painted over it. I have a loose example of it with another piece

The painting is very nice. But you have his right wrist bent up and swiveled in an odd position to his arm, considering the club he's holding it looks unnatural. Also the way that the club aligns to the angle of his left thigh and also the tangent it creates on his right thigh create a bit of boxiness in the pose, for me. Of coarse this will probably all change with a sword in his hand as you mentioned you may swap in.

Originally I was going to have him holding a hot pocket in that hand and a breakfast croissant in the other but the intimidation factor just wasn't there. I agree with the bent wrist but I think with the pug-sword it should read better.
