Metal Band Promo

This is an image i did for a metal band called Die By Day ( http://www.myspace.com/diebyday) . The band is awesome BTW. THe line work was the first skeletal (izzat a word?) ive done. I studied the anatomy, but didnt want to get too detailed with it. Woulda taken longer. The colors were done by the drummer. Did it the way he wanted. Which is good because i have no clue how to use Photoshop.

Did you put the text on because that is a super generic font that I've seen so many people use.

And yes skeletal is a word. I think the skeleton looks pretty decent for what it is.

No I didnt do the text. Due to the Storm up here in the Pacific North West i mostly rushed this one out. The power outages didnt really help when it came to the deadline... My house was out of power for 6 days

Speaking as an expert I'd say this is a good image. We've seen skeletons alot already, but I like them anyway. It is in the color green which makes it look good too. The word "Die" is in the title too. Good job.

I like more detailed artwork though. Just lots of chaotic stuff going on. Bizarre satanic creatures and extreme gore are some of my preferences, and like I said the skeleton and skulls are big winners with me. Why do skulls look so cool anyway? It has always baffled me.

I will have more to do for the band, but for the most part, i did what they asked. I dunno if you checked em out, but they like alot more 80s metal. They wanted something that felt like it was from that era i guess. Does that fit it? :blink:
