I did this awhile back for the draw-off here. I didn't get the nod. Someone on another board colored it and sent it to me. I've only posted it once so here it be. Inked version and colors. Not sure who colored it.

Not to insult the coloring, but I prefer the grayscale version. Nice work!

Comics with color sell better. ;)
Look at the top selling comics, just the facts.

thats not the point. yeah..anyone who pays attention knows that. but its not the point of what they were saying.
i happen to agree that the greyscale pic works much better. i myself would pick up THAT version off the shelf.

Colored Comcis sell better but they´re also much more pricey to make.
Personally, I like the grayscaled pic better.
Great work there, dude, you never cease to inspire me :)

I'm just saying I like the colored version, and comics with color sell better.
They would release the grayscale as an alternative cover.

It's a really good drawing. I seem to remember it, too. I wish I was patient enough to finish my work that well.
The colors take away the depth that's apparent in the grey version.

Grayscale version's much better. The color's not all that effective. It doesn't separate forms as it should. All matters of taste aside, that is the first function of color: separation of forms and to provide addtional clarity. The color here obscures things somewhat, I think.
Excellent drawing, Justice.

I gotta' go witht he majority here. I remember your greyscale version back during the contest and thought it was flat out amazing. The colors here are way too flat and they detract so much from all of the depth and energy of your work. The background seems all but nonexistent in the color version and all of the textures seem to get lost.

Stylistically (is that a word?) it looks great, but I see a problem with the scale of her upper torso in relation to her hip / crotch area. Her bum seems too small. Line work and greyscaling looks great, but yeah, just the anatomy thing.

i notice that in the grayscale pic, the smoke looks like smoke and in the colored piece it looks like paint or something. taking away from the depth originally intended. just my 2 cents.
Justice is like half a step away from becoming one of my favorite artists around here!

I don't believe the colors were finished. If memory serves me the artists said it was a wip but he/she never sent me the final if he/she ever finished it.

I really like grayscale. It's just monochromatic watercolors, sorta.
