It isn't quite finished yet, but here is what I have so far.

Don't know what happened there...

This is already better than what I came up with...good job!

Thanks. I need to make changes now that I see the uploaded file.

The actual .jpg files looks darker, and skin tone/shade is more noticable. Here the contrast seems too high. So maybe I'll lower the brightness, and tweakk the contrast a bit, then re-upload it.

Otherwise I will need to re-shade a few areas, and darken the background even more.

I think your on the right road it's looking good. Look at the first Hulk transition... Bruces upper arm is a dark green but in the next transition you use a lighter one. I think you should sync these. Look forward to seeing this done.

Nice. I like how you have the smooth transition in his skin. Lookin good.

Maybe his shirt could be a different color oher than white? To seperate it from the lab coat.

Seconded on the colors of his arms being different. Also, his tie goes from a light blues to darker blues to lighter ones again. And his pants are going from purple to a very saturated purple to a brown.

I'd love to see the transitioning Banners be desaturated and just have the foreground Banner and the fully transformed Hulk as the main focal points of the picture.

Your lightsource on the Hulk is coming from the wrong direction. The lineart is showing that the Hulk is being lit from the bottom, but your rendering suggests that he's being lit from the top.

Be careful when you're coloring to stay within the lines. There's a couple places on that third Banner where your color is bleeding over the lines. (Hair and pants specifically)

I'll keep the first one up so you can compare.

It is still a work in progress, I only get about a half hour to an
hour a day to actually work on this due to my unusual schedule.

I think I will start over on the background, I am not happy with the way it looks.

I tried to blur out the mid transformation, to see if it helped the final one to pop out more, I don't like the result.
Just so you all know, Jeff was the one who illustrated this wonderful piece of art. I was going to add it to deviant art, but I am no longer happy with their services, or how they do things. Their policies don't mesh well with me.

Instead of the blur, focus more on getting a lot more contrast in the final Hulk. What I mean by that is getting darker shadows and brighter highlights. You were on the right track in the original piece, but you knocked out all the contrast when you recolored it to fix the light source issues.

If I was to color this, I'd probably go for a more monochrome/colorized look in the transformation stages to help out with the seperation a bit.

Lotsa stuff you can try on this piece to learn new tricks that would work well with the lineart (color holds and whatnot). Just keep practicing with it, and keep it fun.

I haven't had much free time to work on this, but here is an update.
