wow, its been aaages since ive put something here. well, im finally turning the big 18 this year... june sometime.... anyways, been busy. The unmentionables project is going a little uh, slower than anticipated. my A3 scanner now longer exsists and has been donated to the rubbish tip. thus i have to wait for my dads office to open up again to use his scanner... aw hell... dont worry dale... they will come... apart from that, ive been passing time with these fanart sketches.

enjoy... and PLEASE crit... it really helps to develop my stuff... :)

first up...

my female version of Captain America!!! Now, im not american in the first place... (thats rite, true blue aussie... no we dont ride kangaroos... or the RSPCA will hunt us down.... plus it'd flipping hurt your... uh, netherlands... to ride a roo)

so yeh, my version...

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b392/sweetchilliphil/CaptainAmericachik.jpg

aha, then we have the tough WOLVERINE, and sexy EMMA FROST... this pic aint finished yet, i dunno who else to put in the left space... i was thinking iceman and beast...

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b392/sweetchilliphil/wolvieandemmafrost.jpg

ah, the sexy CATWOMAN... hope the lighting on her suit looks right. i got confused where the light was coming from after leaving the drawing for a few days... but i think it came out okay...

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b392/sweetchilliphil/20070105112901380.jpg

ah, and wjere would she be without the mysterious BATMAN... had fun with this guy, but i lost the grit and darkness of batman i think. looks a little clean.

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b392/sweetchilliphil/20070105113207549-1.jpg

now more x-men characters. CYCLOPS...

and his now dead (but cant sit in her grave for long enough) JEAN... or PHOENIX... whichever...

(CONTINUED FROM TOP)

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b392/sweetchilliphil/phoenix.jpg

and the hero which represents all SUPERMAN.

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b392/sweetchilliphil/superman.jpg

well, hoped you like this selection. if the scans look funny its because i used a photocopier to do the scanning... into a kinda PDF format... so it looks a teensy bit rough. anyways, have a fantastic day fellow artists and keep pushing those pencils... or mouse's... or pens... whichever.... :slap:

These are awesome, I like this style! The only crit I might have is that maybe the back eye on all the three quarter heads could be a little bigger(?)

They look very...SPUNKY!!! I dig the shading by they're so lovable...they don't look dangerous at all.

Really cool style! In some places the style goes a little too far for me, like the giant boots on the dudes, but it's solid and good work even if it's not my cup of tea. Emma's face does look a little off though.

Pretty cool. Your style really reminds me of Chris Bacchalo's, with a touch of Tracie Mauk.

I like yout style but, why are all the characters in the same position, looking at left side?

see you!

Really great style man....but as it's been said, your drawing them all in the same pose. I understand what you're saying about your "comfortable side" cuz I had that same problem. Just force yourself to stop drawing always in the pose, and eventually you will get more comfortable with the variety. Try some right facing poses, some frontals and stuff. I'd like to see what you can do with some dynamic foreshortened poses, like supes flying OUT of the picture, you know?
Keep it up man!

haha. yeh, been doing that lately... some success. just reverse... but i get what you mean. yeh, i have done the extreme angles. ill put it up some time... the extreme angles took an age to learn tho. a lot of photos and posing aimlessly in front of my camera phone... haha. but i agree...n frontals i can do. left side angles.... uh oh... anyways, thanks for the advice tho. much appreciated.

I love the work man. Your style is like a Cliffhanger melting pot (Bachelo, Madueria, Ramos, Campbell) which is full of energy even though all the characters are just standing around.

Great stuff. My only crit would be to put some variation in the pictures (I suffer from the same problem). Beyond that, keep it up!

What's your intentions with this style? Are you going to do some sequentials?

Bachalo? Campbell? OOooooooookay. If you say so. Clearly there's some Jon Sommariva and Carlo Barbieri in there . . . throw in Ramos for good measure.

Good stuff. Would be great on an all ages, teen or tween book.

my intensions with the style? animation is my main goal. but id love to do concept work for movies and stuff, games and the like. comics? id like to do a few too. though i dont see a permanent future in it for me tho. at the moment im wanted by a few people to do a lot of design work. im also a digital designer and graphics designer. so that takes up a lot of time as well.

but yeh... :carrot:
