thanks ChrisMcJunkin!
Its cool. Looks like a frame from an animation.
As a singular illustration it seems to lack humanity due to the fact we can't see the guys face or any human face. That face showing leads to empathy which pulls the viewer in.
Nice work!

thanks dano.
coming from an animation degree that means a lot. haha. with this one i am going for an entire scene. make the viewer feel like they're in it. the over the shoulder shot of the gunner should bring a lot of dynamic and that he is overpowered by the tentacles above. i was hoping to bring inspiration to the viewer as to hopefully want to jump in and help.

Looks good. It's looks less like an individual piece, and more like a part of a sequential work. It makes the reader want to know what's happened so far, and what could be happening next. If you ask me, that's always important with comic book storytelling. Keep posting!

Nitecrawlah2,
thanks for viewing! as i was working on this one my imagination just started going wild with it. i may bust out some sequential art for this concept and see where it goes. thanks for the input!

I think if this was someone famous, like Green Lantern or Iron Man versus the creature, it would work as a stand alone piece, but since the man here and the creature are unknowns, it seems like it's part of a larger page. Also, the shape of the canvas is atypical.
Otherwise, great compostion and details!

it seems like a lot to operate for that size of a gun. i wish the gun was more impressive. i also wis his head was angled to see a little of his face. very cool picture though.
how did i iss this piece? This is sweeeeeet. It;s funny i always like the sketches better than the clean pieces usually...

danlegion- when i was drawing this i felt inspired to make a couple sequential pages of this concept, so they're coming soon. thanks for the input!
FeelnMe- how could the gun be more impressive? i guess i'm confused. glad you like it, thanks for the comment.
kong- i think a lot of shading and values are lost in the clean pieces, but i suppose that's what coloring is for hopefully. thanks for the kind words!
