Really nice job on the vette JAM... you should totally do more of that sort of stuff.

Maybe use the same technique on a drawing of a Transformer, from the new Spielberg movie coming out.
I bet you would draw a kickass robot!!!

the car is cool. the rest of it....it seems like you're putting style over substance. you should look into some anatomy books. keep practicin'!

I don't want to sound harsh BUT I'm going to anyway.

Your airbrushed picture seems to be a such a higher level than the rest of your work. It has a great finish, crisp, rich colour and no noticable mistakes - a very professional piece. Good work.

Your cartoon style work looks the opposite. Nothing looks as professional, alot of your anatomy is patchy, proportions all over the place, the sleeping barbarian for instance looks like me has 2 elbows/joints on his left arm (use some reference - the car pic proves you can) and your colours all feel rushed and abit muddy (perhaps your new to photoshop etc). There are some excellent colouring tuturials on the net.

This isn't meant to be a put down but a encouragement. Spend some extra time, use reference when possible and make me eat my words.

I look forward to seeing your next, far stronger pieces!

Ummm...... Hang on a second, I'm getting up off the floor. :p

The reason why you see unbalanced ART is I haven't had a balance of study/practice in one and more areas.... many interuptions in my life(not to whine). Just now, I have time and a chance to put a 100% effort in my ART!

Thanks for your reply, and yes I'm relatively new to Photoshop... my site shows what I know and don't, if you have time please visit!

I have just had a quick nosy at your site and the barbarian girl airbrushed pic, Tyson pic, the Mustang (computer) and several of the more realistic pencil drawings show that you a very capable of cranking out some much stronger work than what you've shown.

Now start producing some new kick arse work!

Oh............ thanks for checking my site out!

But you have to know if not already, some of us have sites and show our work here..... doesn't mean to show everything we know or have to show! We represent things we can do and maybe can't do here and on our sites.... but, as ARTISTS we should never show all our ART, especially if we might sell it down the road! :nyah:

I never expect to see all of someones art, I have sketchbboks from over 10 years ago and no ones seem them.
I was only commenting on the level of 'finish' these pics have versus the ones that you choose to show. And yes, this is the right forum to experiment with new styles etc.

By the way, how was the beer?

We seem to be on the same page and book!
And yea, experimenting is what I try to do, now and then! I have the same sketchbooks and collection of works I show and don't show.... It's good to talk with someone that relates.

And the BEER ice cold baby!
