Hello guys
I'm having a bit of a problem. How can i save or export my lettered pages to a nice readable size to be viewed by you good folks. Everytime i do so the text is tiny and hard to read. Any suggestion? By the way I'm using illstrator 10.0 , photoshop 7.0 and photobucket for posting
thanks

The inherent problem is that lettering for print and lettering for the web don't really jive. For something that loads quickly in a web browser and is still legible on a monitor, you have to letter your artwork at a bigger point size.
That said, you can fudge it a bit and save your pages at a slightly larger size for the web.
Export it from AI as a Tiff or JPG, open it in Photoshop and scale the page down to about 450 to 550px wide. Then Save for Web as a JPG with a quality of about 55. That should be decently readable and not a whopper of a file.

I just use "save for web" and bump the size to 125% and it's usually perfectly legible online. (Course that makes it a LITTLE wider than we're supposed to post on DW, I guess)

Jason Arthur told me once to do Save For Web and make it 690 pixels wide, and that has worked like a charm for me so far.

Yeah, I do most of my online proofs for publishers that way and haven't had a complaint yet.
