1. That dude in the red looks too much like Jim Lee's Grifter. You need to change that before you get sued.

2. There's already a Marvel character named Tombstone.

Your style's not bad, though. Kind of a cross between Liefeld and Lee with a little Chap Yaep thrown in for good measure.

The costume designs are a little too 90s Image for me, but I don't know what you're going for.

Hope that helps.

Good stuff there kid. The only thing you need to change would be the name tombstone. Other than that the style looks like your on your way. The best character I like is the one named bandit. Oh yeah dont forget comic art always looks better when its inked.

ps. costumes dont need to be changed. Peoples attitude toward the greatest comic artists of the 90's need to be changed. Of course all the greats of the 90's were from IMAGE. Nuff said :har:

Wow, i didn't know Team Youngblood is making a comeback.

Seriously though, the characters look way too much like mid 90's Image characters, and i don't necessarily mean the style of drawing but more like their costumes, names, posture etc.

They also all look pissed off about something too...and they like to pose!!!

i really dont see where bandit looks like grifter at? and why does he have to change the name tombstone for? as long as they (meaning both characters) dont share the same origin and powers, he can use that name.

i see the resemblance but i dont know if the name change is needed.
i just dont know that much about copyright laws....

im not huge on the style but i can tell how much work you put into these. and that deserves some recognition... stick around and you will get a lot better.

The name doesn't have to be changed... but ya might wanna anyhow... just because you're gonna catch greif over it from people pointing it out to you. Call him 'Tombs' or something... and you'll be right as rain. Also, add some varying line weights to your stuff... give it more of a 3d quality... and I'd modify your 'Grifter'-esque character some as well. Perhaps change the tiger stripes around the eyes to something else...?

So, what's wrong with 90's characters? :man:

Except for most of the writing they were great.

I like the characters. Jester needs a kendo stick, maybe he could be the weapons master of the group. ;)

It's obvious you are drawing your style from the original Image house styles. Quite a ways to go.

As for Bandit. He does resemble Grifter, and half a dozen other characters. Not the most original costume design.

And Tombstone. You have no issue here unless you are wanting to seek trademark. You cannot copyright a character, but you can trademark a characters' name for title and publication. If you have no interest in spinning off Tombstone into a comic named Tombstone you should have a problem.

Good luck, and good journey.

Why would you resurrect a thread from a year and a half ago? :slap:
