One book I'm lacking in my monthly pull list is a good superhero team book. Outisde of the traditional team books (Avengers, JLA, Teen Titans, X-Men, etc.), is there anything worth reading? I'm debating whether or not to pick up the first trade of "Legion of Super-heroes." Anyone picking up this book, or anything else for that matter?

JSA! Geoff Johns is coming back as writer, and the previous title was easily one of the best team books for years.

Thanks. I read Runaways when it first came out and enjoyed it. For whatever reason, I stopped reading it (probably had too many books on my monthly pull list). I may have to pick up where I left off. Young Avengers has always looked interesting but I have yet to pick it up. JSA may be the one for me. I have always wanted to get into this book but could never find a good "entry" point. With the book starting up again next month, I may have my chance now. Thanks again and if there is anyone else with suggestions, feel free to post.

If you're looking for team books in trade format, I'd suggest picking up The Ultimates or the previous JSA title. The upcoming JSA book looks to be just as good as well.
And I'd definately recommend giving the new Legion series a shot. I'm a huge Legion fan (so I'm biased), but this new series is more suited for brand new readers (complete reboot, severing most ties to old, tangled continuity).
Outsiders is fairly good well as well. It started off strong and then stumbled immediately after the "One Year Later" break, but it's been picking up steam again in the most recent storyline. So I'd suggest trying the first trade and see how you like it.

Ultimates is one of my favorites. Looks like I'll have to pick up the first trade of "Legion" and some of the prior JSA stuff. Thanks.

Legion of Super Heroes was kinda shitty in my opinion.
You'd be much better off picking up, as previously recommended, Runaways. Or the new Authority with Grant Morrison writing, it should be good.

Thanks. Opinion noted. I already picked up the Legion trade so I will have to decide for myself. I'm reading some of the JSA stuff right now and really dig it. I'm eagerly awaiting the relaunch next month. I tried getting into Authority a while back but was a little lost. That's the one problem I have with DC comics (Vertigo and Wildstorm included). They need summaries on the inside cover like Marvel. It would allow people to jump on at any point in time. Anyway, I will have to check out the new Authority. Thank you everyone for your feedback.

Ultimates WAS one of my faves, but now that Jeph Loeb is taking over and 'taking out the politcal satire and humour', and Joe Mad is the new artist who is 'going to go back to the tradtional look of the character from the regualr marvel u'. well, i may as well pick up avengers twice. get ben oliver on art and it might save it.
