View Full Version : Does your local comic shop stock...

Just a quick poll to see if your local shop stocks our books.

It used to before it went out of business.

The one good thing about my shop is he gives a lot of Indie books a try and if his customers work in them (as several have in DWP) he'll keep the books on the shelves whenever he can.

No DWP, but it has been carrying the Bloodrayne comics.
It might get them for special orders and they go into pull boxes, but not onto shelves.
Edit: I should note that Indianapolis does not have a thriving Indy comic scene. There are a few local indy artists/writers of note, but the stores for the most part do not reflect this.

Yep, they stock DWP and BloodRayne in both stores

No, he only stocks a few comics.
I have to order a lot of comics from Previews.
He's going to cut down even more titles soon.
Also, he will be retiring in probably less than ten years. :(
When the prices went up some of his customers came in for their last time. They have quit because of the price hikes. I might have to cut down soon.
Unless I can find a higher paying job.

my store does. Heck They even let me sell my book on there shelves.
My Comics chain is so awesome about supporting indie talent and the smaller companies. I live in dallas texas and right now it is a hot bed for comic book creators to live in. O'Barr is here, Kurtz is here and the list keeps growing.
I can not stand texas, but I am glad I live here now with the growing comic book industry and all the creators out here.

About three out of the seven shops I frequent carry Bloodrayne. I have DWP on my pull-list at my main shop, but they miss about every other issue. One of the new shops keeps saying that they are going to carry DWP, but I have yet to see any copies there. I'll keep bugging them though.

Yup. I made it a point to get Tate to carry the books. First copies of DW I got where from there.
11-27-2006, 09:03 PM
Yup, and Catching Lucifer's Lunch.

This is shaping up to be a real shock to me. But I'm glad the outcome is much different than I expected.

Beyond Comics in loverly Frederick, Maryland happily stocks and sells DWP and Bloodrayne. Zombie Highway and E-Man are/were ordered as well, just not in the same numbers as DWP and BR.
(we also carry BOOM! stuff  )

It looks like there's 15 stores out there that need a visit from Santa.

If your shop doesn't stock ANY of the books AND you're interested in purchasing any of our books from them, I'd appreciate it if you could send me a PM letting me know the name of the shop, city, state and zip code. I'd send them off a sample pak with a note letting them know they can make some extra money off one of their customers.
The books we publish are:
- Digital Webbing Presents (featuring Fist of Justice)
- Zombie Highway

I have seen a few at my local shop the Comic Celler in Memphis.

I'll tell you mine (well 25 miles away local)
fanfare comics and cards in kalamazoo michigan. One of the older ones in the country.

Mine usually has some issues of Bloodrayne, but other than ordering DWP specifically for me, I don't think they usually carry it. I've repeatedly talked to him about it, but he just has the theory that anthologies don't sell very well.

Forgot to mention - I visit Apparitions Comics, in Grand Rapids, MI.

Augusta Book Exchange and Comics, Games and Books both carry Bloodrayne religiously.

As I've had them ordered since I knew they were coming out, I can confirm the Comic Swap in State College, PA carries the BloodRayne books. Going by memory, I believe they carry all the DW books mentioned on the shelves too.

Does Canada count? Quebec?
01-08-2007, 09:30 PM
I dunno. I never go there. I buy my comics either online or in borders.

Mine does but just barely. A couple/few copies I think....knowing that I'll be buying one.
