This is the stuff I like to hear -- last week my local comic shop guy was telling me there's a Fist of Justice fan that frequents his store. He wanted all the past issues because he just wanted to try something different than the typical Marvel and DC stuff.

The other day Troy tells me there's a Fist of Justice fan at his local shop too.

It's shit like this that makes me want to keep going forward and kill the thought of dropping the title. If there's a Fist of Justice fan in your local shop, let us know! It really does make a difference when I hear stuff like this. Gives me a little hope.

Thanks, guys!

We're out there, Ed, we're out there.

Today David's gym teacher (Dave is in 10th grade; Grade 10 for you Canadians) and asked him; "Your dad writes a comic called Fist of Justice, right? Does he sell them at the store he works at, I want to get some".

It was very out of the blue and odd, but cool.

And yes, he told her that we do sell it at Beyond Comics.

Ed--You need to do more cons, dude. I had a guy come up to me at the Dayton con last year and went nuts because I had a DWP #24 sketch cover at my table. He couldn't believe it was cover price.

I'm the FOJ fan at my store. I really push the book so hopefully it will catch on. It has been the unavailability of back issues that have hurt my attempts though. Get that trade to print man, it will help even if it is just 500 or so...

Yeah, but there's only been 2 issues and a 6 pager. Not enough to fill a trade, maybe a prestige format volume filled out with behind-the-scenes stuff. Hmmm...

Bah! I got a completely different answer! :p

Share that answer! :p And, who says the back issues aren't readily available? Any shop can order the back issues. The problem lies with how many copies it'll take before the distributor actually submits an order with me.

For example, I'm looking at Diamond's database right now and see there's an unfilled order for #30 but it's just one copy, so they'll never bother to place the order with me until another 7-8 are requested.

If comic shops wanted to buy back issues in bulk, say like 3 copies of each, I'd give 'em a good discount.

Drop me a PM Ed and I might buy some bulk and use them as freebies...

You mean the Mask of the Gargoyle sketch cover?

Yup. I had a couple of them so I tossed them on the table.

Remember when sketch covers were all the rage? I think that fad has pretty much dried out or only works with certain artists.

We should do a whole riff on it... ie; have Fist of Justice fighting the SKETCH MASTER, everything he touches turns to pencil sketches. It'd be a fully rendered and colored FoJ battling him surrounded by sketched buildings, sidewalks, people, clouds, everything. What a trip.

That's a really cool idea. Kinda reminds me of the Powerpuff Girls episode with the mime, but kind of in an inside joke sort of way.

Thanks, guys! Eh?? Dropping the title you said??? Then why do you think I keep doing FoJ drawings, and getting past issues of FoJ DWP, eDuke??? I'm getting all of your FoJ DWP books. So don't EVEN THINK TO DROP THE BOOK!!!!!!!!
