That being said, I'm not particularly interested in this new TV series.

The display and distribution rights are sold ahead of time. So the foreign revenue goes into those hands not the studios. It's like selling a comic. Think of the process and apply it to movies being distributed overseas..

Hollywood Mogul lays it out pretty easily. You sell the rights overseas. Picking one as a partner. You actually end up making more on Tv than you do on overseas box office.

haha, that looks bad. Why make a TV series about this?....unless I'm mistaken and its not a series. There isn't much depth in a show that just has a robot chasing a person nonstop until one dies. Good action for a movie, but this will probably get canceled and no one will even know it exsisted in a month or so after its release.
I thought Terminator 4 was suppose to be the actual war, where is that! T2 is still the best, you can't beat that villain...i luved him.

On May 9, 2007, it was announced that rights to The Terminator series had passed hands from producers Andrew Vajna and Mario Kassar to the Halcyon Co., a privately funded company formed by entrepreneurs Victor Kubicek and Derek Anderson. In the Variety article detailing the purchase, it states the fourth film is now earmarked for a Summer 2009 release and will focus on a 30-year old John Connor in what the producers hope will be a new trilogy. Series creator James Cameron and star Arnold Schwarzenegger are currently not involved with the project.
The same referenced May 9 Variety article reported that Fox is said to be very impressed with the series and it could be ordered as a full series as early as "this week" according to sources. It's also said that Kassar and Vajna, the C2 partners has taken a passive role in production of the pilot and it's speculated by Variety that C2 is getting out of "Terminator" altogether and their stake in the series will transfer to the new owners of the franchise, Halcyon Co.
Director David Nutter recently stated that actor Kyle Lucas will be portraying the new Terminator, Model KL5000. Lucas could not be reached for comment, but his agent said he was "Delightfully enthusiastic about besting Arnold."

There was a scene filmed during production that explains why all Terminators looked like Arnold Schwarzenegger. A character named Chief Master Sergeant William Candy (played by Schwarzenegger) explains in an army promotion video he was chosen to be the model of the Terminator project. Schwarzenegger's character has a Southern US accent. When General Brewster questions it, another scientist replies (in a Schwarzenegger voice over), "We can fix it." The actor portraying this scientist is Jack Noseworthy. It was included in early prints of the film, but was later deleted. This scene is available as a special feature on the DVD version.

"Terminator fans have been waiting for this" We have? Since when? I don't recall ever saying "ya know...there should be a weekly one hour tv series...that would really make Terminator cool."
I kind of respect his fan boy mentality that he wants to do a better "T3"...but come on...in TV form? No way. Terminator is much better as a film franchise not a tv hack job. But then again...we are getting Star Wars the Live Action tv show as well. *Sigh* Some things will just translate better then others. But we might get bored of seeing the Terminator of the week popping up to kill Sarah Conner and her ultra-horny-I love female Terminators-teenage son.

Well, the worst kept secret of 1991 was deliberate. It was decided prior to the films release that it would be mae public that Arnie was the good guy to help sell the film.
It doesn't take away from the story too much.
If you think about it, after Arnie's arrival scene it would've been obvious he was good guy when he didn't pull the faces off everybody in the bar...

IIRC - He is a "T-800 model 101" T-800 is the designation for the basic model, and the 101 refers to the style (likeness) of the exterior. T-800 being the newer models with real skin. T-600 being the old rubber skin versions.
There was no "upgraded" model of him in the second film. Both T-800s were sent back at the same time to two different points in the past. Thats how the original piece from the script read anyway.
