...but will supposedly continue in mini-series format. (http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/newsitem.cgi?id=8633)
Interesting article.

Whow the fuck's bright idea was this:
"#11 even features a twelve-page spread that you'll have to buy six copies of the comic to assemble into its full splendour.
I sincerely hope he was being sarcastic, but even if he was, it didn't come across as such...

Ahhh, it's just like X-Men #1 all over again. Can't wait till you can assemble a fort out of those issues.

Well, I for one say the cancellation sucks donkeys. This is the one book Marvel put out that sucked me back into reading their stuff (soon followed by Civil War stuff), and now they are cutting it? Is it too smart, or too dumb for general reading audiences? I feel disenfranchised, because the books I like either come out at the pace of a elderly snail, or get cancelled.

This book wasn't cancelled.
Marvel wasn't making enough off it to cover the cost of the talent involved so rather than continue with another artist, Warren Ellis dropped it.
There is a difference.

Yeah this totaly blows my mind. Hands down the BEST book Marvel has right now. It's so surprising to me how many people just don't want to try something new. They want new stories of old characters for some reason. Ah well, I'll look forward to the mini series.

Stinking underpant juice.
I don't believe the spread thing. More than half of what's written in or about Nextwave is sarcasm.

Nextwave should not continue without Ellis.
He mentions that he was going to pass off the writing after #12 but to be honest... I don't think Marvel has any other writer in their building that can touch the ideas and madness Ellis has created here.
If there are indeed more issues to come I'll only grab them with Warren Ellis attached.
Also: I'll have to dig it out but Im pretty damn sure everyone thought it was a 12 issue mini series because that's exactly how Marvel isted it as of #1 in their Diamond Catalog.

I blame all of you.
BUY THE DAMN BOOK!
(Glenn, everyone here bought the book.)
Oh, well, that changes things a little. The rest of you...
BUY THE DAMN BOOK!

I'm fine with it. I'd rather have it remain a good memory in entirety than have it drag on too long. Honoring the humor of the book, I'd love for it to have a multi book spread, but I'd rather it be like ten books wide.

It is one of the funniest books out.
The only character I don't like is the EX-Captain Marvel.
Fin Fang Foom and the demon they summoned with the blood of French Canadians? Classic.
