A BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
Hip-hop meets comic art and sci-fi drama in the upcoming installment of John Henry Radio (johnhenryradio.com). Hosted by underground Hip-hop mainstay Breez Evahflowin, This edition of JHR is set to bring you back to the comic book stand at the corner. Where in between games and fights, lil’ dudes would get lost in a world where anything was possible often times to escape the bleakness of their own reality.
You can see its effect throughout the hip-hop sphere with albums called “Iron-Man”, Clothes called “Johnny Blaze” and incredible underground tributes like “Secret Wars”. Hip-hop and Comics to this day stay dominated by Icons and persons who continue to demonstrate super-human abilities in the face of danger.
The actual episode itself will be a 30-minute salute to the Comic art myth and medium composed of similarly themed songs from Breez Evahflowin’s library, including the “Super Breez” trilogy.
Along with the episode, Johnhenryradio.com will be hosting a special online gallery of Breez’ Comic art sketchbook.
The show and admission to the gallery is absolutely FREE of charge. We’re just looking to entertain anyone who’d be interested in this sort of mash up
Thank you,
From the heads over at JHR
