Page10_Panel1.jpgSummer is rapidly approaching and you know what that means? Yep, it means we get that much closer to publishing Ayano in her own series of one-shots and mini-series. And since it’s never too early to show off artwork to tease of what’s to come…

Here’s a panel from Ayano #1 penciled by Scott Clark. No reveals, no spoilers, just cool art for you to check out.

Watch for Ayano in BloodRayne: Tokyo Rogue #1-3, then immediately following that will be Ayano #1. Stay tuned. More developments in this blog.

Team 14 creator and illustrator Alp Altiner was at WWLA promoting and generating buzz to mucho success. Inker Larry Welch stopped by with his portfolio and look what was in it; the pencils and inks for one of the covers for BloodRayne: Tokyo Rogue #2 featuring Ayano. Suh-weet!

Ayano_Pg_06_preview.jpgScott Clark is chipping away at the pages for Ayano #1. We’re hoping to release this immediately following the conclusion of BloodRayne Tokyo Rogue.

Troy Wall and I are already planning the next issue, which will please Rayne fans considering it’ll be a crossover with the red-headed Dhampir. Hey, you knew we had to do it since we love our Rayne fans. Now all I gottta do is convince Troy it should be an Ayano and Rayne versus thousands and thousands of zombie ninjas. Now that would rock. If you agree, lets see if we can sway him.

Ayano first appears in BloodRayne Tokyo Rogue #1 in stores in around mid-May. Grab yourself a copy, you won’t regret it.

ayano_draft.gifIf you’ve been following the posts in our forum, you’ll know Troy and I are ready to unleash a major new character in the BloodRayne series. Her name is Ayano and you’re gonna love her. Ayano first appears in the Tokyo Rogue mini-series and from there we’re spinning her into her own one-shot drawn by Scott Clark (artist on such titles as Spawn/WildCATS, and Alpha Flight).

From there, you can catch her in Old World Order and Zero Dawn (the 2 BloodRayne mini-series after Tokyo Rogue). And if all goes according to plan, we can keep putting out Ayano one-shots and mini-series. Maybe even a crossover with BloodRayne and Billy Tucci’s Shi.

Here’s a preliminary drawing of Ayano as drawn by Don Walker. This is actually a digitized version of a fax. heh.
