Page10_Panel1.jpgSummer is rapidly approaching and you know what that means? Yep, it means we get that much closer to publishing Ayano in her own series of one-shots and mini-series. And since it’s never too early to show off artwork to tease of what’s to come…

Here’s a panel from Ayano #1 penciled by Scott Clark. No reveals, no spoilers, just cool art for you to check out.

Team 14 creator and illustrator Alp Altiner was at WWLA promoting and generating buzz to mucho success. Inker Larry Welch stopped by with his portfolio and look what was in it; the pencils and inks for one of the covers for BloodRayne: Tokyo Rogue #2 featuring Ayano. Suh-weet!

Page from Ayano #1

Ayano_Pg_06_preview.jpgScott Clark is chipping away at the pages for Ayano #1. We’re hoping to release this immediately following the conclusion of BloodRayne Tokyo Rogue.

Troy Wall and I are already planning the next issue, which will please Rayne fans considering it’ll be a crossover with the red-headed Dhampir. Hey, you knew we had to do it since we love our Rayne fans. Now all I gottta do is convince Troy it should be an Ayano and Rayne versus thousands and thousands of zombie ninjas. Now that would rock. If you agree, lets see if we can sway him.

Ayano first appears in BloodRayne Tokyo Rogue #1 in stores in around mid-May. Grab yourself a copy, you won’t regret it.

Dark 48 #2 (of 2)
by Steven O’Connell, Daniel Indro, Joel Seguin
Always expect the unexpected. Anthem lives by that motto, especially since they seemed to have found a male unaffected by the virus. That means there possibly can be a cure. To get him out of there, Battle Corp Delta will have to run a gauntlet through the darkened hallways, always watching their backs for the crazies. The hospital with all its shadows resembles a haunted house. They’ve been trained well but some scenarios like this one couldn’t have been imagined. One thing is certain, some of them will survive to fight another day…and one of them will die.

Team 14 #1
Story/Art by Alp Altiner, Colors by Joel Chua
Cover A by Alp Altiner, Cover B by Eric Basaldua
32 pages, full color

A string of brutal murders take place with no witnesses, no motives, and no trace left behind. It sounds like the perfect crime but sometimes the truth is harder to believe. For the past 25 years, a secret government agency known as Team 14 has been investigating the paranormal. Using experimental technology, they’ve been able to identify supernatural beings and in some cases even capture them. Now there are more paranormal crimes than ever, but this time they are using the ghosts’ own powers against them.

Look for Team 14 in the April Diamond Previews catalog under the Digital Webbing section. Team 14 will hit comic shops worldwide in June.

In the most puzzling series of interconnected murders committed in American history, a serial killer with unsettling ties to World War II has targeted survivors of the holocaust and escaped Nazi war criminals. With zero leads generated from the bizarre clues left behind by the ghostly killer, assigned FBI investigator Monica Morrison begins to believe that the unknown suspect she’s been trailing might not be human. But can Monica convince her department they are hunting a ghost in time to save the next victim? A murder mystery of supernatural proportions, BLEEDERS is not to be missed by horror and suspense fans alike!

TEam14_AlpPromoCover.jpgAlp just sent me this as a promo. I think this is hot enough to be a cover,  maybe a convention/online exclusive. We’ll keep you updated on the final verdict!

In the meantime,  be prepared because in two short weeks, Team 14 will appear in Diamond’s Previews catalog. I’m taking bets it’ll receive a Spotlight On listing, I just got this feeling, actually, this book is that good! We’ll have the whole issue ready for retailers to browse through and hopefully that’ll convince them they need to stock this title. Alp is already planning on turning this into a series if sales are great, so spread the word.

On a related note, Blond has joined the Team 14 creator list and is helping out along with other creators such as Steve Firchow and Sal Regla. See, told you this book will be hot!

These titles should arrive in comic shops around the last week of this month. I believe BloodRayne will most likely end up falling into the next month around the first or second week of April. Keep watch here on the blog for actual release dates!
